Indash single double?
I am looking to purchase a double or single din indash dvd. The installer told me he has to rewire the whole car to make it work?Not sure why.I'm leaning more towards the flip out dvd.Can I install one without to many problems?

I searched but not the answer I was looking for.Thanks

Flip out screens are so f'in ghetto. Yup, if you have Bose, things are a lot more complicated. Search the forum, this has been discussed dozens of times.

Most likley he has to rewire the speakers because of preinstalled amps. Your going to loose those.

Get a double din Eclipse dvd. There nice. There clean. There classy enough for the MB. I used to work for circiut city selling car stereo and doing installs.

I HIGHLY recomend ECLIPSE over any other brand. Dash kit is a must. You need two wire harnesses. Or a hardwire done. Circiut City has smart clips. No cutting needed Always the way to go.

Have them ground out your parking break sensor so you can watch DVD's while you drive. Ask the guy whos doing the install about it. He probably wont care. If you get a ticket say you did it yourself. Good luck.
