I just ordered new ones, so no cutting or bending involved.
They are metal protective plates, not to be confused with exhaust heat shields.

Protective Plate - left 171-423-01-20
Protective Plate - right 171-423-02-20

its gonna be a pain to install those. you need to take the hub off with a special tool.

Steve and anybody else that has upgraded to the 030 brakes. How much did it affect your wheel offset when you put these on? I'm just curious because I'm anticipating that it will change when I do this.

I'd think the wheel offset would be the same, the rotor hub should be the same thickness.

How is it a noob question? I can't assume the rotor hub is the same thickness if the rotors are larger.

I feel safer asking about the hub thickness of the 030 rotor setup, than assuming it's the same as the OEM rotors (front and especially rear) and being assed out in the end and having to get new rear rims to make it work perfect.

A noob question would've been, "do the 030 brakes work on our car?" or "I want to update my brakes, what options do I have?" I felt like my question was more specific with regard to the 030 rotors and how it would affect my offset, if at all.

If this ish doesn't work and it does change the offset enough in the rear, I'm blaming YOUR asses for my "noob" question!

LET C32 2002
To whoever can answer this which year CLK55 had 4 piston rear calipers and would they work on a 2002 C32 and a 05/06 C55 in the rear?

2005 and up. it came after the facelift with the new interior. they bolt right on. you just need to cut the dust shield.

Will the 4 piston caliper cause me to have to upgrade to 18" rims or can I still use my OEM 17" rims? I see as you said they will work on my C32 but would they bolt up to a C55 rear also? I am asking for a friend...

Thanks Frank!
