I sent him an email. They are good kits, I have a couple friends that have his kits. Top quality stuff. I'm all about saving mioney though if we can get them cheaper through Mr Jung I'm all for it. I'm still curious though how cheap my contact in San Fran can get them. But I'm sure we will go with the cheaper seller.

young... get a 400 bucks dictionary instead of HIDs . Yeah I'm all for price and quality too. This kit looks promising to me.

Hey guys,

Anybody know the difference between the D2S and D2R HID capsules.

I thought they were all D2B's.

I think the D2S bulb is used for a non-projector housing like the non bi-xenoned housings while the D2R is for the projector housing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Brabus: Could you explain the way you installed the xenon kits you have done. I think it is as simple as basically putting the ballst inbetween the 12v power connecter and the bulb right?

It is D2R's for reflectors, and D2S for projectors

I wonder if you can replace the whole headlight housing with the MY03 style (with projectors), and how much would that be.

Unhappy HELP with HID Installation

Just received a set of Stage II kit from Hids4less and searched last night to see any installation instruction. I found the one Young posted in 3/30/02 but my wiring is different than his. My came with a resistor with 4 wires. 2 of them I couldn't figured out where to connect to. ( I don't have igniter box like the one in archive) I'd seen on BMW board that you can make a sand block type resistor to eliminate the low beam warning light. Will this work for My C320 with factory Halogen light? Thanks in Advance

I'd jump on the OEM xenons in a heartbeat. Thinking about grabbing a pair on my next trip home but don't know when that'll be... lately, I've been preferring France to Germany. Let my folks visit me in New York instead

Planning to ask my dealer how much a retrofit would cost but I'm not holding my breath - the answer will probably take it away.

ALSO, for the rest of you. I wouldnt recommend installing it yourself. Go to some audio/ stereo shop. Lots of things can go wrong. Ive seen one car that all the electronics went dead.
You have the 9000K.

Basically its quite simple. You need to have a good ground. Sand it down. That is really important. Then you need to connect 1 line with the fuse to your battery. And connect the other lines and you are done. The HID blub will fit right in and everything is just plug and play. The blue goes to blue, the green to green, yellow to yellow, red to red. And they made it so you cant fit any other color wire into the clip. It all snaps into place, comes with zipties. Just mount the ballast with the double sided sticky tape it comes with, you really dont need to drill the hole for the screws and the braket, the tape is very strong. The relay should be ziptied someplace and thats about it. If you want you can screw down the relay but I just ziptied it. One thing is do NOT ever cut any lines. NO splicing. Or else it voids the warranty.

By the way thats the kit I used, I heard a lot of other kits are NOT this easy.

I wish I could help you. A lot of people compained about the HID4less kits. They are confusing. Can you take a pic of it and maybe I can tell you what goes where. I can look at my kit and see. Lucky for me, all my lines just snaped into place and all the connectors were different and colored so you couldnt possibly make any mistake. I think I got the HID kit for dummies. LOL!

That's probably a relay+resistor, not just a resistor - resistors have 2 wires (unless it's a resistor matrix, which doesn't make any sense in this case). Check hid4less.com site - there should be some instructions on how to hook up the relay unit.

Tim: add me to the list. That misterjung kit also looks promising.

http://www.misterjung.com/

Just give us an update whenever your friend gets the pricing info. I have an 2000 S430. According to Jung's site, it seems that they are recommending the 7000k. Some of the folks here seem to prefer the 6000k. Decisions...decisions.... What's the OEM color for the S-class, anyone know?

Hmmm....I'm concerned about installation problems. I've got an 02 Coupe. Has anyone had any problems with installation? Anyone gotten in too deep? Please let me know. Thanks
