Aftermarket HID Conversion Kits & required setting XENON=PRESENT thread
Which one did you end up ordering? Can you point me to the url? Also, are they really xenons or just whitish bulbs?
They are not xenons. They are just pure white. It will remove that yellowish look!
The "extreme white" has more of a blue look to it. But it looked too blue so I decided against it. kind of ricer i thought.
I bought it from www.autobarn.com
just search "9006" and you will see list for the fog lights
and search "wedge bulbs" and the list for the parking light would appear.
here I will help you with the part #s too.
the part # is 19606 for the pair of fogs
the part # is 19169 for the pair of parking lights

I'm selling one for my friend on E-Bay, Brand New.

At first I thought "this is still a bit yellowish" but when I compared it to another car then I saw that these are much whiter. The blueish Osram Diadem, indicator bulbs round off the look!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I got the H7 Bosch Xenon blue locally for about US$23. But the Bosch dealer didn't have the HB4, 5W citylight bulbs, or blueish indicator bulbs available so I ordered the Philips Bluevision ultra HB4 foglights and Osram diadem indicator bulbs from www.powerbulbs.com, a U.K. website. They gave me the 5W Phillips city lights for free as well as free shipping to my U.K. address. They also have the H7 but I already bought the Bosch ones so I left that out and they are only on my High Beams as that's the only thing that used the H7 type on Bi-xenons.
They have the prices on their site. Word of advise though! If you do get these bulbs change on side city bulb first and leave the other then look at the difference at night to appreciate. Otherwise during the daytime you might think 'what the hell???' I did the latter at first then calmed down till night time to check out the real difference!

I'm new to this forum and I find many many helpful ideas and information regarding the modification of the C-class.
I have recently acquired a used 2001 C320, and since it does not come with many things that I wish they were included with the car, I wanted to ask some of the common things that are posted on this forum.
1. What does a set of bi-xenon headlamp look like? Do they look like the 2005 models that are posted?
2. What are the european version headlamps? Do they look different?
3. Instead of adding a COMAND on the car, what other options did you guys come up with? I would like to add a navigation unit along with a DVD player. Or if I wanted to add a COMAND unit, what would be my options?
4. Are there any aftermarket CD changers that you can add instead of the OEM changer?
5. I suppose heated seats cannot be added. The car came without them.

6. Who is Steve that everyone is praising about? It looks like he provides most of the parts for the members here. How do I get in touch with him?
Thanks in advance for helping me out.
"ermm..why do u need another light for high beam? i thought thats bixenon?"
On vehicles with Bi-xenon. The xenon projector has both low beam and high beam which is controlled by a shutter. half closed and you just get the low beam light out. Fully open and you get in essence high and low together. However, you still have that additional H7 bulb that comes on when you flash someone and when you have your lights on and flick the high beams on. All in all it illuminates the road very very well. Few months back my Dad followed me at night in his SL and when he flashed his high beams to overtake, it was like daylight in my car!
Harris the HB4 is otherwise known as the 9006! If you read the small writing on your original bulbs it should say HB4 and 9006. Happy shopping!
