Aftermarket HID Conversion Kits & required setting XENON=PRESENT thread
I will have a full review with pictures and movies on Sunday or Monday.

I have my thoughts on the kit. I think it will be a good kit. I think they are putting some sort of resistence between the power source and the ballast that will make the car "give" 55 watts, but only let the ballast box "recieve" 35watts to power the xenons. Making it easy for a xenon swap, since you will not have to go to a dealer to get the setting changed. Its really a simple solution, I just wouldnt know the first thing about how to do it. Although I could be talking out my butt too. hehe

Excellent idea. should be possible... something i have seen that is somewhat similar idea is this thing called a powerbrake from marshall that connects to an amplifiers output and "soaks" up the power, acting like a speaker type load. this thing i think could soak up 200 watts, so im sure some smaller version that soaks up 20 w and lets the rest through could be made. speaker level to line level converters used for car stereos do the same thing and then put out a much lower current signal.
plus, no dealer hassle
cant wait to see it.
Woke up at 6:00am, left at 8:00am, got there at 10:00am...and its a 4 hour drive from NJ

HIDs look amazing. I got the 6000 (stage 2) kit.
Setup was clean, and they work without setting the "xenon present" and there is no special thing you need to do, turn on the lights at any time and they work. And they are BRIGHT!
I am setting up a small website tonight with pics and movies, so be patient, it will be up tonight.
I spoke about group deals and final pricing on the kit individually. Basically, all pricing details will be revealed on Thursday. Please do not contact anyone until then, the prices will not be ready, save the money on the call.
I will update this first post with the url of the website I make.
Thanks,
Erik
UPDATE: Site is up...pics and movies:

Honestly, if it still doesn't work I can't help....it works on all my systems....
Erik
videos are workin fine for me.
Thanks...I thought I was nuts for a minute.
BTW, if you right click and save target, maybe if its on your drive you can play it.
On another note before I go to sleep. I am very very happy with the setup, no running to the dealer, no hassle. I know people want pricing (I already got a few e-mails), but wait until Thursday.
Thanks,
Erik
1. Yes, I did not need to see a dealer.
2. No, there is no trick to get them to turn on...I can turn on the lights with the car on/off.
3. Yes, there is an addition item that must be installed beyond the stock HID kit, but its small (about the size of a pack of ciggs {for each light})
4. Again, prices on Thursday.
Thanks,
Erik
Erik, did you get the prices ? I think I might be interested....
Erik
Because the high light not xenon as its in CL or SL Models ..

The only reason that all xenon's high beam are halogen is that you cannot flash-to-pass with xenon. The bulbs simply do not light up fast enough.
