well first off bi xenons are projector based not halogen based, the bi xenon projector actually emits the xenon light as a high beam as well in the same projector. the kit i have is jus a plug and play kit for my stock lights. IMO the bi xenons look better asthetically as well, and have a lot cleaner cut off line and coverage area for light output, but you get what u pay for.

i noticed that when i turn my lights on sometimes the passenger side flickers on then a second or two later my driver side comes on, why is that?, once it took a few seconds longer and a error message came up saying my left low beam error, but it lit up and stayed lit for the entire drive. maybe its jus a slow relay to the driver side and i hope thats all, and nothing much to worry about. lemme know what u guys think. i took some crappy pics cuz my battery was dying and i dont know how to take my flash off my camera. lol
Anthony,

The HID shouldn't flickers. did you turn on the auto settings on the headlight switch. It was fine when we test it at the shop. no flickers, and error. does it still doing it now.

Mine has the flickers after installation, too.
I have to go to dealer to enable Xenon headlight function via Star.
There is some costs, but you should enable the function.

Beware!! The flickers can make your Xenon damage.

Let me know if there is a problem. Anyway get that car lowered ASAP. For the rest of August, we will only be charging $150 for installation if you purchase the suspension from us.

trust me anthony...i've had many hid kits already before..i even used to sell them.... sometimes it even varies specifically per car...but in all 6 hid kits i've bought, 2 of them had the flicker, but it only lasted 2 to 3 weeks or something like that of continuous driving...after that it was gone....anyway, lemme know if you still have those problems...dude I GOT the WHITE STAR flat hood badge...i couldn't resist...i said F it!!! i paid 110 shipped but i think the quality was top notch and the size...i got convinced by rob's c32 badge..

Just done mine!

Half finished my two cars lights jobs. Advice , comments , welcome.

C55 AMG W203 2004 - HID:PIAA 6200K D2S; City Lamps:PIAA Tera LED 6500K w/ Built-in Resistor; Fog: Philips Diamond Vision 5000K H7

E90 330i 2006 - HID:Osram 6000K D1S; City Lamps:PIAA 6500K Ring Marker; Fog: PIAA H11 4700K

Next :
1. May be to downgrade the 6500K Tera LED depends if I can live with the blueish. Will try some cheap Rarbrig R130 bulbs as can't find the 168 Wedge bulbs here.
2. High beams Philips 5000K H7 not yet done for both cars.
3. Xenon conversion for Fogs for E90 if still cannot find H11 whiter than 4700K. ( I guess the max. is 4700K for H11 ?)
4. Interior lights for E90 from Bimmian
5. White Turn signals bulbs to remove the yellow egg yolk from C55.
6. Brighter reverse gear lights , any suggestions?

cnt, I'm loving the lights on both of your cars!

I really liked the contrast of the bix's with the regular city bulb, but those tera's look good! too bad they're pretty damn pricey, anyone know where to get them cheap?

I also have bought the PIAA Tera LED 5500K w/ Built-in Resistor but I think I should have bought the PIAA Tera LED 4500K w/ Built-in Resistor.

Where do you buy the PIAA 6200K D2S?

Best Regards.

Here is our local shop I got the Piaa 6200K D2S.
http://www.car-gym.com/catalog/index.php
The Piaa 6200K color , of my surprise, which is pretty 'stock' feel, it is no blueish. Really wanna see it compares with the Philips.

The 5500K Tera LED we buy here comes with a resistor but not built-in.
May I know where you can find PIAA Tera LED 4500K/5500K w/ Built-in Resistor?

Right now I have ultinons installed. I also have the 5500K teras leds but are too blue. I think maybe 4500 teras will be more similar to ultinons.

As far as I know 4500 and 5500 terra have inline resistors to install in the power line. Not sure the 6500 terra because I was not avaiable when I bought mines.

Best Regards.

4300k is the pure white, which is the brightest of all. PIAA is the most expensive HID brand, plus brightest, but it's VERY VERY expensive. however, 6000k looks the best IMO

I switched from halogen to 6k HID, but sounds like 8k is what you're looking for. Try giving Darwin@Carlab a call - he installed my kit, but installation is fairly simple from watching him do other cars.

BTW, kit comes with ballasts.
