k1 MS sells their original kits for 249.99 shipped and the slim kits are 299.99 shipped!
I'm thinking of ordering 8k slim kit for the ML's fogs (since i got factory bix) and also for the E class. my cousin got mecca 12000k for his E, looks amazinly WEIRD! so 8k is great!!
I will take pics of the whole setup this coming weekend, since it was "the week of the walking dead" at my school (finals and students have no sleep!)
these 8k HIDS are georgeous. right now i'm using piaa ion yellow fogs, and I'd possibly not get white fogs. might end up getting 3000k hids.

Carlab HIDS are for $280. As for HIDS they sell on autoshops, they usually sell for $400 plus.
I can say that the Carlab and K1 HIDS are both very similar, it's just which ever dealer you perfer.

questions about ballasts
since the ballasts are so small (and light?) you can use double sided tape right? but then does the ballast ever get hot?

k1 gives you this roll of "tar" like kinda tape. when it melts, it sticks. also, the ballast is attached to this metal piece, that can be screwed to something like your grounding screw or w/e.
one problem is the dust caps on the lights...I think im drilling a 24mm hole to slip the wires thru.

hid/xenon ballasts get VERY hot, advice please.
is this normal? i had used the double sided tape that came w/the kit to install the ballasts and the tape didn't hold partly because I think the damn ballasts heated up too much. is this normal? or is it because the are mounted in the engine bay (but attached to fenders).
