C320 Coupe
all manufacture has different colour on different temprature, 4300k is OEM pure white for most car. 6000k is a little blue tint white light, the best IMO when you look out from the car. 8000k is more blue, 10000k is even bluer with slightly purple colour, 12000k is purple. here is the pic for THIS manufacture
just give u an idea on the colour, btw the higher the temperature, the less bright it gives. Usually 4300k-8000k gives 3x brightness compare to halogen, and 10000k to 12000k gives 2x brightness compare to halogen

HID means Xenon Bulb + Ballasta (adapter) which we call it HID Conversion Kit. you can use your existing headlight assembly, just buy a HID conversion kit and have your local auto shop do the installation for you, unless if you know what you are doing, then you can install it yourself too. But i tend to stay away from the MB electrical stuff

Keep in mind, the more purpler you go, the less illumination you get.
However, in my opinion, the more blue/purple you go, the "cooler" it looks.

you can change the colour, but there is no brightness improvement at all, HID however improves 2 to 3 times more brightness than halogen light, which is what makes the difference

Very Nice!
Whats the K1 kit? I'm not familiar with that one. I'm using the old CarLab HID kit which I bought from them a year ago with 6000K bulbs on Headlight and Foglight. I guess you should matchup your Fogs next.

nice~~
2nd pic color output looks like mine... i have 6k...
1st pic looks cool but if that's only while it's warming up... what's the difference between 6k and 8k?? i thought 8k will be like blue and 6k is more white...

mj, did you also get yours from K1? i'm also thinking of getting fogs from K1 also because i heard that the carlab ballast are a bit big and hard to mount/hide for the c class. plus its $200 cheaper than carlabs

in fact, when i had a shop to install hid kit for low-beam on my ml, they said they installed it b4 and won't do it again cuz last time they did it, the horn went off and didn't turn off... i gave ok to install it... after install, no problems... (no error msg since w163 has no MFD)...

looks good man, the colour output when its still warming up looks cool. after that, they sorta look like my regular 4300k xenons (from the picture) what company brand name are they?
