Question about 2007 c230 i just bought. AMG muffler?
I got a silver 2007 c230 brand new only 40 miles on it...but i noticed the muffler/exhaust is a double barrel AMG it has amg on it....is this standard on the new c230's? cause my 06 c230 just had a single barrel exhaust.
also the rims don't look stock either.
anyone know if this effects the cost?

thats cool it was strange cause this model only cost 1 thousand more but it was way nicer looking subtle changes it had the sport spoiler, nicer rims, and it handled better for some reason also i dont know if it was the AMG exhaust but it had faster acceleration then my 06 c230.
how much is the 2008 c204 series gonna cost?
i heard its gonna be more powerful with like 230hp

Yup the twin amg exhaust tips are standard. I love the staggered wheels personally, although I'm not sure how much it's noticed, but I notice it everyday.
I haven't heard anything yet about the cost of the 08's, but i'd guess it will start in the low/mid 30's. Base model at least.

the tips are different, the oval on the cars prior to 07 are wider (if comparing oval to oval) but overall the 07 tips are wider (total of 2 ovals).,
I would suggest getting an actual amg exhaust for upgrade.

what color is that diamond black? i had a diamond black 06 c230 but it was a pain to keep clean...so i got the 07 silver c230.

I've already seen just the tips available on Ebay. ANy shop could cut off the old one and put the new one on for cheap. But the tip is around $140 for the AMG one. Just a little steep to justify an exhaust tip

True, but the 07 muffler has dual outlets with 2 separate tips welded on. Doesn't the 06 and earlier only have one outlet from the muffler? If so, just the cost of the tips and the fabrication needed to adapt the 2 tips to a single outlet, probably wouldn't be worth it. Probably easier and cheaper to find an 07 or C32 muffler complete.
