c240 sedan loaner car
i got a white c240 sedan for my loaner today. i tell you this... the engine is smoooooth compared to the coupe.
it also has that rear sunshade and yes, i played w/ it a little i'm so tempted to tape a message on it like "BACK OFF"
--
but, while i was on the highway, the red warning - fuel filler door not closed - came up! when i checked, it was tight and closed. i will notify the dealer tomorrow when i drop it off.

i tried using the trunk release button, but the trunk didn't pop up. is that normal?
when i locked the car, and then pressed the trunk release button on the key, nothing happened.
---
at some speeds, the steering wheel begins to vibrate pretty heavily.

when the steering wheel vibrates, I usually think that the car is out of alignment.

You have to hold the trunk release buttom down until the trunk pops open. It should open when the car is locked.

well, just got a call from my service guy about the service A.
tire pressure was off, so it was corrected. pulling is less, he said. if i wanted an alignment, he said $99... my alignment warranty had just run out
new seat belt retractor ordered
service A - no problem (no mention of pulley )
--
i keep the loaner for another day b/c the part comes in tomorrow and they'll install it then.
- had them check out alignment also b/c i thought it was pulling right again...
- seat belt wouldn't retract
- and of course, Service A

Even it is my own car, the trunk almost knocked me out a couple of times. Now, I use that feature only when i'm walking toward the car, never standing right behind the car again.

My dealership has loaned me an E320, ML320, C320, CLK320, and an SLK230. I just ask for what I want to drive when I make the service appointment.
I read somewhere that you can adjust the trunk mechanism to open slower.

the trunk is spring operated, so unless we change the spring or something, i don't think we can adjust it.
