Instead of getting Depo's, get Eagle Eyes, which I did. They do not have the problems that the Depo's have. (no hot spots, good beam pattern).

Does anybody have Depo projectors with a MTEC 6000k hid kit and if so what is the lighting like?

I dont get it what is bad about the depos is it the break and have bad tabs or the light patter sucks or what? They are way cheaper then OEM ones, and have to be better then the light scattering OEM reflector housing with HIDs placed in them? Whats the stock Depo pattern look like? No one here has a picture of them, just depos with modded housings

thank you that would be great, because my OEM reflector houseing throws light all over earth with my 55W Hids in it, and it blinds people/looks like crap, so Id like to see a stock depo light cut off to judge for myself so I can see, how it looks.

It never ceases to amaze me that guys lay out the bucks to get a Mercedes, which all agree is a higher end vehicle, then the same guys actually consider putting DEPO junk from ebay on that same car????

Don't let the badge fool you. These are great cars for the most part but ANYONE could own one.

It never ceases to amaze me that people think the W203 - released a decade ago here in the states and out of production for 4 years now - is a "high" end vehicle. It is not. It is a $5,000 at the low end to $15,000 at the high end vehicle. Period. A new Civic would cost more.

I have DEPO's and a MTEC HID kit. I had the depos without the kit and they were horrible. The MTEC kit is more money but doesn't throw a code. Much better than stock.

My car currently has the stock fogged halogens. I wouldn't mind upgrading to bi-xenon, not really for aesthetic reasons but to improve the lighting for night time driving.
As far as I can tell there are really three options:
1. Buy a pair of knockoff housings and install them as-is. It seems from what I've read here that this is not a great option, for not only are the housings apparently of poor quality, so is the light which is produced.
2. Buy a pair of knockoff housings and retrofit a quality projector lens. Still suffers from the poor quality housing problem, plus a possibility of destroying the housings in the process of changing out the projector lens.
3. Buy and retrofit the OEM bi-xenons. This is obviously the most attractive option as far as quality of both parts and lighting goes. However, a quick search shows that the oem xenon housings are currently running about $1000 EACH.

This, combined with the fact that I apparently have to tear apart bits of the interior to mount a levelling system of some kind pushes the cost of an OEM retrofit to about 1/3 the value of the car itself.
Has anybody had any luck getting a pair from a wrecker, or some other source? I've seen the occasional one on eBay, but they are usually damaged, which makes me pretty weary.
Any ideas?

I got my bix off ebay. I bought them one at a time and saved so much money. Under $450 for the housings. Then I replaced both bulbs since I had no clue the condition (This is a must IMO)
OEM is the way to go IMO you can retrofit wich would be my second choice but only if you have the time (I have no time sadly anymore so oem was the way to go for me)
