I dont think anyone will be seeing a wing on my C240 - if you do - shoot me! I dont think an insanity plea will work in this case.

it's such a disgrace to see a riced out benz, but i suppose that's what you expect from a downmarket Sedan with a 168HP engine.

Sort of pisses me off when people say the C240 is "downmarket". I think C-Coupe owners feel the same when people and car magazines call the coupe a "cheap" Mercedes.

i'm not attacking him personally, as i don't know him.

i'm simply laughing at the fact that he spent all day saying how people rice the coupe out and not the C240, and then we have this thread.

nice one, accord.

A post addressed to a certain person doesn't necessarily constitute an attack, right? That's exactly the case.

Well it is from Southern Cal, but the northern part

A guy from Santa Barbara named Sean Murphy owns this "beast", first featured in EuroTuner mag Dec 2001, installing B&G springs.

Was featured sometime later in the same mag, this time with the wing WOOO HOOOOO.

Can you imagine people in the CL and/or S-Class forum having the same "discussions" we are having about "ricing" out your car - I can hear it now..." yeah, I just put 22's on my S55; slammed it; and put this awesome wing on". I dont think it will happen - but it happens here in the C-Class forum. Oh well...to each his/her own.

I'm afraid that the majority of those slamming and otherwise disfiguring their CL/S are not aware of this forum (or the very existense of the Internet for that matter). But they do exist.

Regretfully, this C240 is a "Poster Child" reason for keeping the Coupe and Sedan in the same forum (rather than splitting). There seems to be enough modding across both body styles...

Yeah - I agree, modding is one thing, but trying to make an aerodynamics experiment is another. Would you not get as much downforce from a trunk lip spoiler at the speeds we are used to?

Sweet attempt at sarcasm, but I bet somebody is out trying to find a pic of a riced out C230K right now.

Is it just me or has anyone else noitced that despite all the "ricer" comments about the C230K that there doesn't seem to be actually that many pics of "riced" out C230Ks? I definitely haven't seen one with an aluminum wing... yet...

of course there's riced out C230K's... there are idiots out there who will rice out an S500 (i've seen it). this is irrelevent. the point is that there's no need to put down an entire group of car owners based on the few idiots who decide to disgrace the car. furthermore, claiming the C230K is such a horribly cheap mercedes when you yourself drive a C240 is just laughable.

2002 C240 Classic - Orion Blue Beast!!
Oh my, very sad indeed.

The car belongs on http://www.molestedcars.com or http://www.ricecop.com .

As for the cheap debate. Please, everybody, SHUT THE F**K UP!!! Have we not beaten this issue to death?

An E320 is cheap compared to an S600. My point, there is always someone better than you. Just enjoy your car.
