My Kleemann alloy pulley rubs the water pump pulley too. The very edge of the belt is worn off a little bit. But I think it looks okay as long it doesn't get any worse. I think it has already worn off all it is going to. Just keep any eye on it.

It's that tell tale thin ring of worn paint on the waterpump pulley. Like the ASP pulley, I don't think it rubs all the time, it's mainly on startup, once started it doesn't rub. It's a small price we pay for wanting the max power. I've watched mine really close over the past 5k miles and it's really nothing. The lastest ASP pulley will 100% not rub as Lee made it about 1/8" smaller, one advantage of making one pulley at a time.

FYI, the water pump pulley is $28 in case someone wants to replace it.

If that is the case, I may as well purchase a new one and ask a local metal shop to machine off the area that comes in contact with the belt. I'm still not sure mine does, though - have yet to check.

I'ld like to replace it with different shape one that will allow a larger crank pulley like on the older SLK230.

If it is a solid piece, it is possible to machine out the taper so that a larger crank pulley can be fit.

Has anyone done some calculations on how much boost the new pulley puts out? Or how much you can increase the boost before you reach the point where the increase in heat overcomes the intercooler?

I think stock boost overcomes that little intercooler. On an SLK, Linh measured 9 1/2 psi.

I use the pulley to did over 10 autoX event and two track days, the ring still sitting nice and tight.

The 1/4 mile time i found is from G-tech, not in a drag race track

Yes, the Renncpe group buy special for $758. I think the group buy is over, you can call/pm/email Renncpe if you are interested. I'm expecting it this week. They should have shipped it last Friday.

From what I understand it will be $995 from Renntech and it's intercooler only, no chip. Is a chip even available? Haven't heard anything on that since Randy brought it up.

i spoke to Bob Brady at renntech on the phone so i did nto see any dyno.

If i am remembering correctly he told me that the ECU reprograming and pully were around $2,400 i dont remember the exact price and i dont know the exact price of just the ECU reprogram. I think he told me if u have the pully and intercooler thats when it will actually give you the most HP. I think he said maybe 10-15hp from just the ECU reprograming with the other 2 mods.
