they should pay for your mods since it was her fault and her insurance should cover it. some chick when the wrong way in our college parking lot speeding to get back to class for attendance, (same class as me and she was skipping) hit me head on and totaled my ride. I gave her insurances copies of all the receipts I could find and they gave me 60% of the mods plus what they were gonna give me for only the car.

Say Hello to my little friend!!

So sorry to hear about your car. Glad you're OK.
Whiplash can take a while to fully manifest..
and it's like things you used to be able to do, like ride a bike or
even sitting at work in front of your computer etc.
may be tolerable for short period, but become very painful after a while, and this can last for a long time.
If you've been hit by someone going a good clip, and you think you feel anything, you absolutely want it in the police report, that you feel pain in your back and neck. If after a couple of days, you feel fine, great.
If not, it's harder to deal with the insurance dicks if you try to say you didn't feel it till after the accident.

You'll have all your bills paid, plus a little for pain and suffering which is
all anyone does after an accident. It's all pain, from what you feel physically to the psychological and financial suffering you get in the end, (even when you're not at fault) since they always try to pay you less than what you're entitled to, such as the cost of the sales tax, and registration on an equivalent vehicle which can cost thousands.

Or in one experience I had, lots of pressure from work to perform while I was in pain, and forced to go to treatment I didn't want to go to, since I had the accident on company time, on my way to visit a customer.
No respect I tell ya....

At least the pain and suffering part helps to cover the actual damages, vs. the ones they claim can be fixed at the local Yugo dealer for 50 bucks.

If her insurance company is Allstate, sue. Don't waste your breath.
Don't try to be nice. They lie continuously. Sue them.
You're entitled to all damages. Not what they feel you're entitled to.

Thanks man.

I didnt feel anything right after the accident. Just a slight headache and some neck pain a few hours after. Nothing today.

I am going to gather up all the receipts that I can find and total up the damages.

You'll be lucky if you get half of what you paid for all of those mods. Unfortunately I had the same type of incident a couple months ago and mods that I put into my car, Allstate only wanted to pay out half of the price I paid. Also it took an arm and a leg for them to total out the car. Mine was a 3 month old Volvo S60R that stickered at $45,000.

Yea, I am not expecting them to pay the full amount of the mods. I'll go after the girl in court for the rest, if I have to.

Between what the insurance company paid me for my car and mods, plus pain & suffering, I ended up about even. Sadly, it was the best thing (financially) that has ever happened to me. I sold the third car (Jeep Liberty), paid off what we had left on the wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee, bought the coupe free and clear (plus mods) and had enough left over to buy a new Rolex.

The best part was going from ~$800 per month in car payments to zero. Cash flow, baby!

bad example, unless your car came with bi-xenons, which i dont think it did!
its a possibility though..

It doesn't matter what your car came with from the factory. If your insurance agent is worth the pen he signs his name with, he should be able to get you every penny from the at fault driver's insurance company...one way or another.
