w203 Intake

I was just browsing on the web and I came across this:http://www.globalautoshop.com/access...ons/c_w203.htm
They sell intake for w203 and this electric supercharger claiming to gain hp, but I've never heard of this brand call B&B before. So just wanna share it with you guys. What do you guys think about this? Seems too good to be true at that price...

dont waste your time on either of these products. best thing you could do for intake is hit up flip about his intake tube, or custom fab one yourself.

also, to help out getting better answers, edit your or your profile so we know what model car you have.

good luck

I downgraded to a VW, it's still German though
Wow, an electric supercharger for a supercharged car. That intake looks universal. It probably fits Honda Civic and Mustnag GT too. Honestly I am not sure how it would mount, as I have yet to find the air filter on my car. I did find the sparkin' rods and oil filter though.

It just got me curious, becuase that site sells alot of authenic and well known brands. They actually carry alot of products and brands such as Supersprint, Remus, Eibach, H&R etc. But never heard of this brand call B&B Performance Line, just want to see if anyone heard or used it before. Anyways, thanks for the help BadAssC230k, I think I will probally look into fabing an Intake.
Just going abit off topic, I'm actually in a hurry to buy a set of Eibach sway bar as my current sway bars are really damaged, but too bad they were out of stock. Anyone know a good place to buy Eibach sway bars?

Not if he had STFF. This thing has been brought up a few times. And each time garnered the same reactions.

Next time, if you don't STFF, we're all gonna tell you to get the product and how great it is.

The first upgrade I'd do is brakes. Mine are horrible. Have tons of pad left, and everything is still like new. Had Benz check it, and they said it works like it should. These brakes wouldn't stop a go-kart. I think Fred Flintstone has better brakes on his car. I drove another C230K SS, and the brakes were just as cruddy.

Intake for 02 C230 Coupe 2.3 - I have not found anything yet for a cold air intake upgrade, does anyone have any input on a good intake for the 2.3?

theres not really a "cold air" setup, but you CAN create one. I think the fujit something brand, they have this ram intake setup for the ML320, maybe you can steal some stuff and custom cut a few pieces here and there. and then you got your own "cold ram setup"

I do plan to upgrade my brakes, maybe I'll go for Brembo or Stoptech something in that range. Just got my Bilstein PSS9 suspension installed last week, now looking for some sway bars becuase my old ones are damaged. Probally going to get some c55 swaybars next week, just double checking if they will fit my car.

I have been using the Frozen Rotors, but I have the smaller brakes on my 02, I see the cross drilled rotors and they fill the wheel I regret not looking into a swap. I had my rotors slotted and nickel plated and only have 19K miles on a 6 year old car and the nickel is peeling, I paid $1000 back in late 01, they had to buy new rotors could not use my originals, that was the largest cost. The factory pads lasted 19K miles and I just put on the Hawk HPS compound pads $77 - I wanted a less dusting pad. Keep in mind the big brakes make a lot more dust, see picture below of my Escalde XS500 Baer 14" rotor, they make so much dust I have to remove the 24" wheels every three months and clean the back of the wheel. This vehicle has 6 piston calipers and the pads just cost me $200.
When I put springs and bars on my vehicle I could only find Eibachs in 01, I like the look with factory 17's, they give great control when vehicle does break loose and allow you to regain control. I did have a nightmare getting vehicle aligned, had to go to a hi-perf Porsche guy that had the alignment rack, me remachined some aligment parts from a Boxster and got almost all of the adjustment back. I have had numerous lwered vehicles and never had to go through this much work.

Speaking of intake, does anyone know anything about removing the silencer and if it is possible and where it is? I would appreciate any info on this.

Gotta correct two things very quickly.

1. E1000 "you're wasting your time upgrading anything relating to the intake.... just my opinion." Not true at all, if you want stuff going out the tail pipe faster, then you want stuff coming in the intake faster... engines don't like vacuums.

2. Electric "turbos" actually work... in some applications. They are great for smaller, and carburetor engines, but only in the lower RPMs. A friend of mine and I have used them a lot o Corvair and VW (flat air-cooled) engines. I have also used them in aircraft engines for "altitude normalization", i.e. making the engine behave like it's at 2000ft, when it's at 8000ft.

Mike
