all weather mats

i'm thinking about ordering some all weather floor mats for my coupe. i was just wondering what kind of mats come in the car (carpet covered or what?) and if the all weather mats are nice to have. thanks.

the car comes with carpet mats.

i ordered the MB all-weather mats with my car; they suck.

i then ordered the weathertech mats... by far one of the best purchases i've made for my car. highly recommended! the red stripe is hardly noticeable.

Yep, WeatherTech is the way to go -- I've had them in several cars. Truelove, since you have Oyster interior, you would probably get the tan mats which don't have that "pesky" red stripe like the black ones do.

I heard that the red stripes add 5hp!

I agree with them, though; the Weathertech ones are very, very nice. Get 'em! Oh, check out their rear hatch area (there, SoCal, I said it!!!!) tray as well, it's much better than the MB offerings as well.

I'm cheap. So I went to the wholesale club and got universal all weather mats for ~$20. Turns out they fit great and protect the entire floor area just like the expensive ones. The only gripe is the dead pedal area sort of messes up the fit on the driver's side but, nobody seems to notice.

My cargo net has already been retired, as it's totally useless except for carrying styrofoam peanuts and balsa wood. It's a total piece of crap, and I would've been happier spending that $30 on two sets of valve caps.

Yes, I think that's what most people have gotten. Also available in gray and tan (w/o the red stripe).

just bought the MB mats...

I dont know why you guys are giving the MB all weather mats a bad rap. For $65 you get all four mats, they fit perfectly, and look better than the weathertech. I'm totally pleased with them.
