How much more modding will you do?

I was thinking this morning on the drive to work and realized how much $ i've spent on my car, not that I regret it but I think i'm satisfied with how my car looks now, it makes me happy and I guess that's all that matters. I know a bunch of things I can do to make it nicer and faster like pulleys, BIX and etc, but I think i'm done modding atleast for now. I might do something small here and there and besides maintence I dont see myself lowering it, and all that.

What about you guys? Do you guys plan on keep modding your w203's??? I've also been looking at different cars lately...

thats true... lol i'm def going to be limiting myself anyways finally dropping off the car today to have the tranny fluid and filter changed. its impossible for me to drop it off and when i do the guy is busy WTF! hopefully it will be changed today. The car has 61K. Should i have him look at anything while he's at it?? Not sure when to change the rear diff fluid. I know coolant should be changed every 2 years and Brake fluid????

I cant mod anyways i have to do all my maintence first!

I agree with that.

Compared to most on this forum, my car hardly qualifies as modded, but for the year I've owned it I'm pleased with the few things I've done. Now that the W204 is out and looks so good, at least the pictures do, it's hard for me to spend any more money on my car. I was hoping to knock out a couple of larger modds like painting the top black with a roof and trunk spoiler, along with a front cf lip spoiler and wheels. And I was wanting to have those completed before the W204 Drive Event in Dallas October 13th, but even if funds weren't the problem, I don't think there is enough time. Anyway, I'm sure I will continue modding, even if they're very subtle things. At least until the C63 has been on the road for a year so I can see if I need to shuffle my priority list around.

People need to figure out when to stop modding their cars and not mod the car just for the sake of modding. There are so many overdone cars out there it's not even funny anymore.

Just have minor (rear) exterior mods to take care of here and I should be all set. Engine stuff? Well I can't be done with that stuff - overall performance is what really keeps me going..Mercedes or not.

Stop? Well, you figure it would've stopped when I got to the 15K club. I've already speant 2/3's of that this year alone. Next year may be another 2/3's of that. or more depending on whether I get a daily driver.

True enthusiasts and people who enjoy modding don't really stop because they always continue to find more innovative things to do.

Exactly - there are always more mods to do; you just have to start being unique or think harder about the next step. My car's pretty heavily modded at this point as far as performance, but now I'll have to turn to ICE, gauges, alcantara, and unfortunately rust repair in the rear wheelwells - might have to do some other bodywork when I do that next year after the last snow.

There's always more that can be done - picking out the next step is half the fun.

I know there's still plenty I could do, but I'm pretty much over spending money on this car and looking forward to the next project.
