Maybe it depends on the manufacturer... It's worth a shot to see if they will screw off. If they don't... well, I guess YOU'RE screwed!

2003 c32
Thanks for this writeup! I'll be picking up my new to me 03 c32 in a few days and starting to do some research. Looking at the part numbers provided in the first post for the c32 plugs
"The C32 has NGK IFR 6 D 10 as original equipment.
MB part number is 003 159 97 03"
Cross referencing here to a KC8WYP4. That then cross references here to these:
Beru 14F-7DPURX2
Beru Z171
Brisk DR15YP-1
NGK IFR6D10
NGK stk 5344
Hopefully this will help someone else out.

I completed plug replacement today on my 2002 C240 using these instructions, thank you. It took 5 hours, mainly because I used the wrong plug removal ratchet. I used fixed length instead of articulated ratchet. With no other vehicle, it made no sense to reinstall old plugs just so I could go buy another ratchet.
I started with left side of engine and ended with the right. The plug closest to firewall on right side was toughest to remove and replace. The recommended Mercedes boot removal tool - open ended wrench - does NOT do a good job reaching the more recessed plugs. It needs to be redesigned.
Anyway, it's not a job for beginners, and even the experienced techie would be challenged doing this the first time. It's worth paying maybe $100 labor fee to have a technician friend do it, if you have such a friend. I had to do it myself because different shops quoted me b/w $450 - $550. So I bought Bosch double iridium plugs from Amazon and saved at least $400 by doing it myself. It was definitely worth it for me.

Spark Plugs for M112 V6 Engine
I am amazed to find that I can get platinum plugs for my 1998 CLK320 Coupe from AC-DELCO. In Australia platinum plugs can cost as much as $24 each. Get the part number from the online catalog and call a local GM dealer.
AC-Delco can be picked/ purchased at any GM dealer for $7 each,
They are the same long life double platinum plug.
The ACDelco online catalog has plugs , filters for Mercedes, Ford, Mazda, Honda you name it. Cabin air filters too in most cases. They can cheer up your car.
Cheers

I bought myself a new set of BOSCH spark plug wires off amazon($99.99), I also bought Double Platinum BOSCH spark plugs from RockAuto. I am just waiting on the Mercedes spark plug removal tool, basically an offset wrench, that is supposed to help when disconnecting the wires. Any tips gently appreciated.. after all its just spark plugs haha
