Reached Major Milestone Today

10 days short of 6 years and 9 months, my car hits 160,000 km or 99,500 miles today.

Looking forward to 200,000 km milestone.

I'm at 205,000 km. The only major thing I plan to do is replace all the suspension bushings. I haven't found a way to effectively test them but I'm getting bad tire wear/scalloping associated with loose suspension. Ride and steering feel fine though. Two leaking bushings in the front were replaced under extended warranty at 80,000 km. My car actually got better with age! It's a dependable ride now but it sure required a lot of attention/repair in it's early life.

Like a fine wine!

Let me know if you need a 3rd hand with your bushing swap...from one HB to the other.

The real question is how much did it cost you to get there with out of warrantee repairs?

I have ext warranty. I think I spent some $1,500 out of warranty repairs.

C230 Sport Coup + 2006 W164 ML350 + 99 Ford Escort (What the heck, it gets 38 mpg!)
Yes, the Xtended was money well spent...
But going into the 2nd 100K miles, one has to worry about the tranny, and other things with a finite life span, like Battery, alt. (brushes mostly),
Kompressor (not in your case), water pump, and I think there's some parts in the drive shaft too + engine mounts and hoses....and coil packs if they haven't been done yet.
Cat + O2 sensors (just did these...my mileage appears to have gone up...)
But buy new would be a huge expense too so I dunno...
