Interior Dome light question
My seatbelt buckle had gotten caught between the b-pillar and door and when I shut the door it broker the door-switch. Since the switch was broken, I disconnected it. Today I managed to access the B-Pillar and put in the new switch. Now, I am expecting the dome light to work when the door opens up but it does not open up regardless of which door I open. Has the computer "learned" that the switch was off for so long that it decided to ignore it? Or, is it something else I need to do? BTW, the light does go on when I push it to the always on position.
Thanks

I am so retarded.....
The manual says that the interior dome light only goes on automatically when it's needed if it's dark outside.

Does anyone know how to increase the tension so that it retracts faster?

Well, I rarely use my seat belt, and because of that, I have the slide part (on the pillar) as low as it can go, but with repeated use, I'm sure the mechanism gets worn or stretched....Perhaps there is something else that can be done....

Hope so. My wife's solution is that I should slow down and not close the door until the retraction has completed. All my life, though, I have not figured out how to slow down.
