Help needed with AMG sway bar.

I unbolted the rear sway bar and removed the four screw holding the clamps and bushings. Is there a trick to snaking that sway bar out? I got it about 80% out but it keeps hanging on the exhaust pipe.

If it's anything like my CLK was, you're in for trouble! I had to lower the entire rear subframe from the differential to install my sway bars.

MB was nice to us with the C230K, they rear sway is no longer above the sub-frame.

The intercooler is doing fine. I was not the easiest to install. I can feel the difference. The biggest difference is that I get the power consistently on a warm day or cool day and after just starting the car or running it hard.

Back to more important things. I can pull the bar out to towards the passenger side but it gets hung up by the exhaust. It might be easier if I either remove the rear wheel to give me a little straighter path or drop the muffler.

The easiest way is to take off the rear tires. If not, you can pull out the sway bar from the passanger side, there is a spot where you can slip it out. Just keep trying.. Putting the AMG sway bar in is a bit more difficult, since it's 3mm thicker. Just keep trying.

It requires some force to take it out if it stuck...
Be more aggresive Buellwinkle!!!

Once you take off your rear wheel, it shoud be fine.

Believe it or not, it's actually raining (first time in at least 6 months). The car is too wet to get under. I'm hoping it dries up by Sunday so I can do it.

You Must Raise the rear of the Coupe Set on Jack stands or on a Hoist, and remove BOTH rear wheels to remove the Rear sway bar...Its a 20min Job!(With Air Tools) Evo Sport Is Making Larger Sway Bars. Larger Than The AMG Bars..

Got the AMG sway bar installed. I removed the passenger wheel, gave me better access to remove the bar. Took about an hour from start to cleanup (no air tools). Can't tell you if the car handles better because of the rain.

With the rain, my car oversteer a lot more than the OEM sway bar. Now the ESP just flashes everytime I corner hard.

How does the car handle with the new sway bar? Can you please post the part number for the AMG sway bar. I know you had problems getting the right one. Also the part numbers for bushings.
Thanks

No, you need to start practicing tough love. Post "STFF" instead of posting the part #s every single time; people will wise up.

FYI to those waiting on Eibach sways: should be shipping from Tirerack on the 26th; delay is due to a strike in the Fatherland.

which ones

looking to put on new front/rear sway bars on the c230 coupe. which are the best (less body roll) for the money? AMG seems to be the less $$ way, but will there be a noticable ride differance?

go with the Eibach or Evosport bars if you want flat. Go with the AMG bars if you want a little flatter than what you have.
