Scary Thought re Brakes
For those that have experience with British cars that is the dreaded 5 letter word for crap products and no reliability. It makes me feel good that while Lucas failed in the auto-electrics side of the business they have now gone to the most critical component of the car. Sure hope they got their ***** together as I have direct experience in that company with my TR6...it ain't a pretty picture!

The Calipers I have are the same that the coupe, wagon and the C240, C320 had as well as certain models of the CLK. The rears are a dual fixed caliper.
They do however seem to work quite efficiently and never seem to be short of braking power. I would however wish it was the 2 or 4 pot, they do look nicer, but the added bonus is that I can run cheaper tires&wheels for my snows as I downsized from my 17" to 16" for the winter boots not to mention that having a narrower patch has better performance in the white stuff and slush.
As a side note, I've noticed that the new C class has resorted back to single piston for all the models other than the C63 and BMW only uses slider calipers

After I look at my huge rotors, every car I see seems to have such small brakes, even big SUV's, lol.

Modern Lucas is on par with its' contemporaries, my Lucas brakes have performed great so far.
I have the two piston, but are they made by Brembo?
