For a really sick look, remove the carpets and floor sound deadening entirely, have the floorboard paint and other coatings stripped and then chrome plate the floors.

yah that does look a bit weird
i saw that in a lexus and it looked real nice but it had the interior
to match..
the benz looks like a very rich living room so adding industrial steel just doesn't match

i think it's pretty cool. Not that i would get it though.
i've seen it done in a SUPER MODDED Beetle (500 hp twin turbo V6 engine).
btw, the driver will probably fall in a humiliating way if the bottom of his/her shoes are wet.

No, that's real metal. I've got a set in my crx; very good quality.
Much as I'd love to say that you guys are being silly and close-minded, I don't think that they work too well with the Benz's interior either.
