Amplifier in Coupe
I know how much you guys always want to see pictures of everything , so heres my amp installation. Maybe someone finds it useful
First of all I removed the mat on the front passenger side. Under the mat you can see this aluminium panel.

That was installed in a C-coupe. I have an aftermarket HU and aftermarket speakers. The amp I used is a Helix HXA400mkII. I run it in 4 channel mode. It should give out about 4x70W rms into 4 ohms. The amp is connected to the HU with double cinch-cables(front and rear). I installed a 10mm (7 AWG) power cable directly from the battery.
Heres a pic of my HU. I know most of you will hate it because it looks too aftermarket but I like it, sound is good and it plays MP3s.

Yes, overheating might become a problem, I dont know yet. You are right that the area is not good ventilated but the upper area is open upwards so at least some of the heat will get out.
This whole idea might turn out to be totally crazy, but I decided to try it anyway. I will keep you updated if I get any heat problems.
Oh, and before someone else tries to do the same thing, if you have auto-tranny or parameter-steering this space is already occupied by some electronic boxes.

Wow.....he installed an optional foot well warmer to go with his heated seats. His passenger will be toasty warm and hopefully not too fuzzy over this. LOL
(sorry....couldn't resist)
