BF Goodrich g Force Super Sport A/S Tires

Suck ***! Just a heads up for anyone buying tires. These tires are crap. There is pulling, shaking, and wavering at highway speeds. I had it checked out three times by the local Mercedes dealer, twice by a NTB, and once by a local shop. Went through the whole defective tire checklist swapping tires back and forth with no conclusive results. Now I have to go to a BF Goodrich location and have the tires checked for defects. What a waste of time.

Thanks for the heads up. After doing some research, I ended up choosing Kumho Ecsta ASX's which were comparable to the Micheline Sports but much cheaper. It's an all season tire so you won't have to swap winter/summer. My buddy's got these one's on his 350Z also. Tire life is great.

I just haven't had time to get the car over to the BFGoodrich center. So, since my post, I have no new information.

I have been riding it hard trying to get some wear on the tires hoping it would even out the pull and highway shaking. Things have gotten better. The pull isn't as dramatic and the shaking has improved.

I will say this, for an all-season tire, they handle great! Wet and dry traction is very good.

We have had above average snow fall and ice here in Chicago this year. The tires are performing good in the snow and ice. I was stopped in three inches of heavy snow on a downhill in reverse with about 100 feet off distance until clear road way. I was able to get out. It took a few tries, but eventually made it out.

If it weren't for the steering issues, I would give these tires a raving review.

Anything changed for the better/worse since you last posted? The set of these I ordered through Discount Tire just came in... after reading this, I'm wondering if I should just go with the KDWs or something else, like I originally planned

I had the same problem with the KDW's.

Sounded like a bad wheel bearing. Vibrated badly at low speeds (like a warped rotor). Cupped on the outside edges.

Changing back to Michelins solved the problem completely.

I loved the handling of the KDWs, as well as the price and the resistance to hydroplaning, but I'm glad to be rid of them now.

Well, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a set of 245/40/ZR17's of the Super Sport A/S today, and everything seems pretty good so far. Dry traction, even with the temps under/around 30F, is positively fantastic though they seem a bit louder. No other issues though, so far :: knock on wood ::

Gonna hop on the highway later or tomorrow to test it out a bit further and I'll let you guys know how they work out. Gotta find an unplowed parking lot or something, too...
