I ordered the white first and it didn't match perfect, looked like crap! Then went with black. The CL isn't my first pick but I'm adding distronic so I didn't have a choice. It looks pretty nice and I'm getting used to it.

Looks great!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it with shipping?
And how much for installation?

cheers

I could've sworn I saw somebody post a pic today of a white CL grille on a white car (for my mercedes style). It may have been in the picture thread.

What'd you think of it? I don't know if that looks a little tacky - white grille on white body...

My C is white too. I'm thinking of the just the silver/chrome CL grille

I don't like the CL Grille on white cars. I think a blacked out '05 grille or blacked out Mattig grille would look best on a white car.

Which CL Grill????

I have Seen Many CL- Type Grills on and off The C-Class.After searching ebay I stumbled upon this Grill (CL Grill 1). I was wondering if you have seen this on any c-class or if you know of any one on this forum with this Grill. It's quite different then the CL type grills I have seen on this forum.

Which CL Grill would you choose? Which grill would look better on the C?

CL Grill 1

CL Grill 2

CL Grill 1

CL Grill 2
Saw that new grille on ebay (1st grille). It looks more like the MH-Dezent/Expression grille than the other one that you can get from formymercedes because it doesn't have the frame surrounding. I personally like the top one better of the two.

Thing is, the company that is selling those doesn't have any pictures of them on a actual w203, so I have no clue how the fitment is or if it even comes close to looking like mine does. If I were to choose between these two, it'd be the top one.

That being said, w/ a white car, I'd probably just have a 2005+ grille painted matte/flat black and be done with it.

I have a hard time believing that grille 1 actually mounts to the hood as it's supposed to because there are a few screws on each of the sides to won't have anywhere to be mounted. This is why all the other CL grilles that mount without zip ties (sorry Drex ) have the thick bars on the sides that are used as mounting points. I'm guessing that grille 1 will either A) not mount to the hood without some custom work, or B) arrive looking like grille 2.

Well, the side screws are not the most important, so if they were able to fabricate top mounts, the grille should be able to mount securely with top and bottom screws attached.

The frame that goes on the side is just for extra security, but with a grille, there's not enough force to pull it off as long as it is screwed in tightly.

I dunno man... first time I met you and Frank, it looked like he could have pulled your grille off if he really wanted to!

Yeah, but who the F' goes around pulling on grilles? Just doesn't make sense, ya know? Even if it did seem like Frank could pull off my grille at that time, what does that prove? That if you pull it with more force than the grille will ever get that it will come off? Of course it would That's like telling someone to go to a license plate and pull as hard as you can until it comes off. If someone pulled hard enough, they could do it... What about rear lip spoilers. They're attached with double-sided tape. Is that "secure". It's already been proven that you can pull that off with bare hands, so what's more secure...my grille or the double sided, stuck on trunk spoilers? I mean, right now, if someone actually tried to do that with my grille, they'd break it. If there goal is to steal it, then they're loss more than mine. If there goal is to be vindictive?...well, at that point I'd be worried about more than my grille.

Do you see my point? What's really "secure" on a car? I'd be more worried about someone pulling off a trunk spoiler to steal it than someone trying to pull of my front grille. The front grille would break if someone tried to steal it. The trunk spoiler wouldn't.

Yeah, but don't want to mislead some of these newbs. They have a tendancy to get scared away by stuff like this.

They shouldn't be scared, but should definitely be aware that fitment might be an issue.
