Yes... another Grill thread....need pics please

Yes, I'm sorry for yet another Newb grill thread. I was hoping those of you who have changed the grill could post up some pics for me to see. I have searched the forums but I have only been able to find a few good pics.

Please post up pics, especially if your ride is black.

Thanks for the help.

couldn't find a link also... it looks like a regular washer... but the inner part has "teeth" and that's what holds it in place... Let us know if you find it

Hopefully this link will work... if not type in washers and it'll be under "internal tooth washer"

is it just me or does a black 07'' c230 ss look like it could pull off a cl grille? (with nice set of black/powercoated rims and some tint)
07 > is a definite no-no for me though.

I'm in the opinion that I pull it off just fine with my Midnight Blue 2004.5 230K SS...LOL...Granted, I do have the MH-Dezent grille and not the ebay one...

So why couldn't an 05 or 06 pull off a CL grille? Or an 01 or 02 for that matter. Mine is an 02 and doesn't look that much different from the 07 from the front.

they can! but not as well as the 07'' model. people dont always focus on JUST the front, they look at it from sides and at different angles. the 07'' has a better looking body style to match with the cl grille (in my opinion) then previous models. but its all really a matter of personal opinion!

what does the '07 have different ?

in 2005 they added the AMG front & rear bumper previously only on the C32.
in 2007 they added the spoiler and twin exhaust tips.

CL grille will look the same on 01-07.

Thanks for the help.... good to see this is a supportive forum where people help instead of being an ***..... Just sayin...

Do a search for Grills... I did... If you go threw the threads there are a decent amount of pics, but not enough to get a good idea of how the different ones will look. Not to mention that I have only seen pics of about 4-5 diff black W203s. and with several grill styles available thats hardly a good representation. most of the pics in the first page or two of threads are the same cars.

All I asked for was a little help. If you don't wanna help thats cool. But thanks for posting something helpful anyways....

unless you are searching for a bbq- the word 'grill' isn't going to bring up much in the likes of the front end of a car.

try- 'grille'

It's not black, but this was my first grille mod after painting to match.

Then I changed it to a cf CL style grille.

Then I blacked out the chrome.

Thanks I ended up breaking the damn thing last night.. I have one of those toothed washers that I used and then i tried to thread a nut with spikes over it, except that it snapped the rod coming out the star.. So I ended up just leaving it clamped down with the toothed washer and then I used some Gorilla Glue from the inside... It's on there good and proper now, so I'm all set...

Was very frustrating though...
