Any W203 looking at the 135i or 335i
I have been thinking about getting a 135i or a 335i.Don't get me wrong I love my little kompressor styling wise, but it's seriously under powered.Which car would you pick between the two models?

IMO, if i were you and loved the styling of the kompressor, which i do too, i would go for a used c32 or c55. im gonna get a c32 in about 2 years but like i said, thats just me.

2003 C230K Sport 6-speed Sedan
I just got my C230k after owning a 1984 1190D for years. The 230k is a rocket. It's all about perspective I guess. That being said, I'd also go for a used C32 or C55.

As far as I can tell, there's not a car made whose acceleration won't simply feel "normal" after a while.
So you just need to reset your expectations by renting something really slow for a week or two

My thinking on this is that if I'm going to spend 40g + - on a car,I'd like to go with a newer model then my own 05'.It's a shame they didn't keep making C32 thru 07'.

LOL, that was exactly what I kept thinking. I just order a 328i coupe which arrives in May. I had an 02' 330 coupe prior to my benz which was heavily modded and I racked up lots of speeding tickets. My C230k is all show, no go and now I have a clean license and my insurance is dirt cheap. My insurance shot up to over $6k a year with the bimmer once I hit 15 points on my license. I knew i'd drive the 335 hard and so did my fiance who really broke my ***** about not getting it, so I went with the 328

Absolutely. The dealer gave me a 328xi coupe to test drive and even with the extra 400 pounds from the AWD over the RWD which I ordered, it still has much more acceleration and pull than my manual C230k.

I'm thinking of upgrading to a 135 next year. They're pretty decently priced with european delivery, actually. And throw on mods that will transfer over from the 335, and you've got a true monster. With a manual transmission, like they should have.

W203 Kompressor 6spd SS, Audi B5 S4
I just saw one on the freeway yesterday on the 5 south. IMO it looks kinda funky. Looks like a 335, but way more compressed together.

Exactly. There are 2 or 3 available software upgrades for the 3 liter twin turbo. One gives 75 horses, the other 82! 82 hp for $1,400! Stock 335 and 135 can already pretty much pull ahead of the E46 M3. With a chip you'd pretty much blow it's doors off. Same with the C32 plus that's old school now anyway.

In general, people are interested because it's more compact and lighter than the 3, if not by as much as many hoped.
