C320 Front Seats too hard

Has anyone found any comfortable front seat replacements for the front seats? I really
like my C320 except for the hard seat cushions. I have owned MB Cars for years and
fully appreciate firm seats but these are simply too hard. Short drives are fine but on any
extended trips they get far too hard. I have thought about having the cushions rebuilt
at the local "Top Shop" that does upholstery work.
I picked up an E500 at the factory in September and fell in love with the seats but still
prefer driving my C320. The C320 feels more responsive in it's handling but I really need
to get better seats. I find that most much lesser cars have great feeling seats.
Does anyone know if CLK or E Class seats could be used in the C320?
As you probably know, the C Class seats are nothing but foam with a thin pad on top. It
is too bad they made such a great car and cut costs on the seats.

I agree that the seats seem a little hard. But I have fooled around with different positions and have found a couple different ones - one for short/city driving and another for longer/highway driving. But even still, I seem to be fidgeting around, especially during longer drives. The multi-contour option does not seem to help a whole lot either. But I was having the same type of "saddle soreness" with my Tahoe - and it had very soft seats. Maybe just my behind being a pain...no pun intended.

I find the seats just fine for me, but my wife thinks they are too hard. This is our first leather car (always cloth til now), and we are definitely having to get used to the firmer seats. If you have back problems like my wife, I can see where you feel the seats are too firm.

Just go to your local store and get some seat covers. Lamb covers are cushy and will help your back.

The cloth seats in a C230k are softer than the leather seats. Maybe someone will trade with you.

My first two times behind the wheel of the C-class cars, I thought the same thing...jeez the seats are hard. After telling my salesman about this, he insisted that over the long haul they are more comfortable than softer seats. After having the car for awhile, I tend to agree with him. I can no longer sit comfortably in the seats in our other cars on extended trips.

Im spoiled now

Isn't that what seats ARE made of?

Not all leather seats are necessarily as firm as our C-Classes. I've had many leather interiors and some are very cushy. The seats in my Passat were also firm and I do feel they're more comfortable on long trips. You might also try a small cushion to act as a lumbar support for your wife -- this may be where the problem is.

Thank you! The W203 seats do lack lower back support. I have a booklet on the entire '02 MB line-up that explains why MB seats are harder. I'll try to find it later.
