What color LED footwells color?

Hey guys, I've been thinking a lot recently, and i've finally decided to start modding my car out like crazy. My first mod would be the interior LED footwells the Kevblah made such an awesome DIY of.

My quesiton is, which color should I go with? I have a white C240 with a black interior. My personal opinion is that White would keep the luxurious look that I am trying to go for...but I am scared that it will look too much like a flashlight's light, or too brite to drive with.

Please post any pics of WHITE LEDS, i've tried searching for them.

I really think you should do "orange" assuming it matches the amber/orange colored interior lights. That way it will look stock and not riced out.

Depending in the brightness, it might be too bright or make the interior look washed out. If there is anything close to amber or the incandescent color, I'd go for that personally.

Those pictures don't show just the footwells, but it'll give you kind of an idea.

I agree. Although it dosen't look as "cool" amber light should be used because it's very easy on your eyes. Another key thing to consider is the amount of light you want. IMO, it should be very subtle.

FYI, the ambient lighting in the 7-series BMW, W221 S-Class and W211 E-Class are all amber.

thanks for the feedback guys, I got a new idea tho.

The same company also has a multi-colored kit, with 7 colors...why not get that?

The only thing I am skeptical about is the quaility, because a single color, 4 tube kit is $27, where as a multi color, 4 tube kit is only $30...shipping in same for both kits...so why not get pay the extra 3 bucks for 7 colors!?

But that is way to obvious which leads me to believe the multicolor kits aren't as good as the single color kits.

Link for multicolor kit: http://ledunderbody.com/index.asp?Pa...PROD&ProdID=36

Link for the kit in action (I think he only used two tubes?): http://youtube.com/watch?v=MnBBV4qe5ak

You're right...most likely the blue on the 7 color kit wont be as nice as the blue single color kit, etc... hence the price is not much different...

If you pick white, you should hyperwhite all the interior bulbs as well. Haha Mine are all hyperwhite.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm aiming for too. That's why I don't wanna get these because they're WAY too bright. I want something a little less bright.

Since the brightness is adjustable on the S class, If somehow you can DIY the adjustable module for that, it would be wonderful.

I got the kit in blue guys...I don't know which fuse to tap into tho? I found the fuse for my hazard lights (7.5) I'm not sure if this is the right one to tap into?
Btw, I dont have my fuse chart, it was missing when I bought the car.

Also, how the heck do I use this add-a-circuit thing? I am assuming I pull out a fuse from my fuse box, plug the add-a-circuit into the fuse, and plug the original fuse into one of the two fuse slots on the add-a-circuit. Then Use the red wire coming from the add-a-circuit to connect with my red wire from my accessory...once I insert my red accessory wire into that blue thing, should I clamp it down with some pliers? Other wise it just keeps falling out.

Thanks.

lol okay then, since my previous post didn't get any replies, I got frustrated and just decided to use my common sense.

Anyways, before installed the kit properly, I just wanted to test out if the lights worked or not...

So I did trial and error and found that fuse 7.5 was the fuse for my hazard lights. So i plugged the add-a-circuit into that fuse slot, plugged the original hazard light fuse into the add-a-circuit, plugged in my red accessory wire into the red add-a-circuit thing (I think that blue things needs to be clamped down with pliers for a secure fit?) and then I just held the black wire against the ground screw...pressed on, and the lights didnt work.

I even went so far as to hold the accessory wires directly against my battery terminals...still they didnt light up. The Kit as a built in fuse as well, and that fuse isn't blown out, so I know I didnt do anything wrong...could the kit just be dead?

Or am I not making the proper connection? How the hell should I connect my red accessory wire into that blue thing coming from the add-a-circuit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
