01 C320 Sedan- Hesitation sometimes
Ok I have a 2001 C320 with 75K miles on it, lately it has been hesistating as in when slowing down or at a red light it acts like it wants to stall, I put it in neutral and give it some gas and its good to go, started doing it a while ago but was a little less frequent then, but always seems to happen during slowing or stopped..........any suggestions? I didnt think it would need a tune up already?

Things to check are:
Check engine light
MAF
vacuum lines
idle control valve
fuel lines/injectors
check if intake/headers/exhaust is sealed and not plugged.
Goto Autozone to get a free basic test using the OBDII plug to see if any error codes come up.

same. when i first got my car it started shaking violently when i was at idle. didn't think nothing of it at first, but when i actually stalled i had to take it back to carmax. they replaced my coilpacks, and now it isn't as bad, but the shaking continues. guess i'mma check out that list, thanks for the info!

This has also just recently happend to me, my check engine light came on though and when i got stopped at redlights i thought i was going to stall out. I took it to the dealership lastnight, just a matter of time untill i find out what is causing it.

Wow,
being a former mechanic and its always about fuel, air, spark........electric.........process of elimination, whats really disturbing is why Mercedes Benz cars seem to keep having crazy things happening that most cars or manufactures dont have. Made this case before about my Honda never having an issue..........Y did I buy Mercedes, I seriously thought it would have been 10 times the car my Honda is..............but again proven wrong, if I had to do it over again def wouldnt have been a C class maybe not even a Benz. And yeah I know all cars experience issue but..........a 40k car with low miles...........where in the H is the quality?

I agree with a poster above that it seems Mercedes have all types of unique problems that other makes do not have. Granted it is a more electronically complicated car and therefore more things can go wrong. Quite a few posters have stated they would sell or trade their C-class as soon as the warranty runs out. That may be fine if your only goal is to avoid expensive repair bills, but they do not take into consideration that they have already lost close to $20,000 in depreciation on their old Benz. Not to mention if they buy another car , regardless of make, they will again loose substantial money to depreciation. All this to avoid paying for repairs to an older car.
I am wondering when I should change my coil packs as a preventive measure. My 2001 C240 only has 29,000 miles presently.

carmax warranty. it seemed like a good idea because of all the mb problems we heard from others. it's 3 year/36,ooo miles, and they will replace anything, for 50$ deductible. i saw the repair reciepts and they did close to $2k+ worth of repairs, and since it was all in the first month, it was free for me.

I happen to have lil shaking and hesitation at cold start, clean MAF and spark plugs this W-E. Wow, now running smooth and the response is a bit better but not much.
Over all it is a good time spent on maintnance.

C320 sport coupe w203 2003 32,000 ,miles
I experienced exact same symptoms. Turned out the air box hadn't been fixed properly at the rear of the engine.
If you hold the air box at the back and see if you can gently lift it. If it moves, it hasn't been fixed in properly.
