How much you are willing to let go of your wheels?

They are just a reseller. You can probably find the same quality for less by looking on the web.

I don't assume you've read through this whole thread because it's getting pretty long now, but basically Velocity is planning to do some testing this week with the specs I have provided to make sure the wheels will work for Mercedes fitment. All measuring and test fitting is being done on a W203. I don't know if W208 and W203 fitments are the same, but I'm pretty sure they're very similar.
Once we get the go-ahead (hopefully by the end of this week), the Group Buy will begin with 50% deposits required to place the order and the remaining 50% a week prior to shipment. Velocity has given a conservative estimate of July/August delivery, but I'm assuming that if all deposits are collected by mid-may the wheels should be done and ready by the end of June at the latest.

Thank for the info. I read the first 2 pages and skipped to the last one.

I might be down, again if you do the offset as AMG in affalterback recomends for 8.5/9.5 @ 30/31

Yes? NO?

*circles NO*

While AMG recommended offsets might work for those at stock height on stock suspension, those of us who are lowered on coilovers need a few extra millimeters of clearance on the inside of the wheels. Sure, you could run those offsets... then push the wheels out a few millimeters with spacers. The rest of us would rather not use spacers.

Cutting rear tab (rubbing)

I did a pretty good search of the forum ( at least i think i did) and i read a million post bout cutting/sanding/etc of the tab to stop rubbing. I read one post from FrankW saying that the fender shouldnt fall.. but no one else really chimed in.

my question is.. if u shave that tab (i think there is a screw there) has anyone had any problems with the fender and bumper (assuming thats what the tab holds together) from comming apart? did anyone have to relocate the screw or just shave it off and have one less screw holding those pieces together? thanks for the info!!

Tony

I'm in!!! What size tires are most of you going to use? Also, it sounds like the front will be flush with the fender, but how about the rear?

thanks guys

I haven't decided on tire sizes, but I'm thinking either 225/35/19 (front) and 255/30/19 (rear) or 235/35/19 (front) and 265/30/19 (rear). The latter sizes are what is recommended for 19x8.5/9.5" wheel sizes, but the former sizes might work better to avoid any rubbing issues since my car is so low. It is not uncommon for the rear to tuck all the way to the top of the rim with passengers and luggage. Maybe I'll mix and match and go 235/35/19 (front) and 255/30/19 (rear), but I have plenty of time to decide.

The rear should be just about flush with the fender as well, but don't want to get too close since many of us who are lowered need the extra room to tuck some tread!

Like MJ50 said, what finish do you want?
