Thanks glyn. I dont plan on lowering the car so with the 18x9.5, a 255 tire, and say 35 sidewall, do you think I would rub on the fender? I think i would be safe with that and come close to keeping the stock ride height as well.

It's going to be tight but I think OK. As I said earlier it depends on the brand of tyre.

w210 chrome amg rims on w203 2005 c230 sedan
w210 chrome amg rims to be used on w203 , 2005 c230 sedan

recently purchased a set of chrome amg rims front 18 et 31- 8 inch, and rears 18 et 35- 9 inch. checking sites and information everything says it should fit but i did a rough fit with no tires on the rims, and it only leaves like 15 mm on the inside to inside inner fender on the rear. the fronts are no problem. has anyone else fitted 9 inch amg's with the same 35et in a 2005 w203? would spacers be needed and if so how much. also would 40 profiles be too much or should i go with 35's going to run 245 wide. probably falken as i have had a set before and handled great for the price.
thanks

Im looking at a set of monarch jaz 18" rims. The front is 18x8 and the rear is 18x9, lug pattern 5x112. Will these rims fit my car or do i need to run spacer? The front lip is about 2in and the rear lip on the rims is about 3in. Do u guys think thats to wide of a lip for a 05 c230 kompressor body style?

They should fit but what is the offset on them?

Hey guys,

What offset would fit on my 02 C230 coupe? I think the stock 16' wheels (205/55/16) are 37mm but I could be wrong. Im looking at getting some 18' wheels for my car and i really like the look FrankW has on his car. Frank, what are the specs on your wheels (size/offset, etc)?

Thanks.

Frank is king in this regard but I think an offset of around ET30 looks good with 18" - but depends on width of course. Your standard offset s/b 37

Thanks Glyn. Ill check out the site.

Ive been doing some research about wheels and cant decide whether to save up and go OEM/BBS or get some replicas like the Brabus/AMG replica. Safety is way more important to me than looks, so am I compromising safety if I get one of these replicas?

Any opinion is welcome.

Hey guys - I've been lurking around for about a year now but I don't think I've ever posted. Back on page 253 someone asked about 18x8.5's all around with the CLK63 rep's and Frank said they would fit. My C63 rep's should be here tomorrow. They are 18x8.5 all around 35 offset on a 2005 C230 with the sport AMG brakes. I have two questions will they fit with no spacers on front or back and if not how big should I need. And two, I think I've read that 245's won't fit on the front with an 18. If I decide to go 235/40/18's all around so I can rotate for wear, will they rub in back or do I need to go 40 front and 35 rear. Sorry this is so long - I just thought you guys could save me a lot of trouble. I told myself I was going to wait on tires but now I can't - might as well look good and not be able to pay the bills, who needs electric right?

hi,

i'm currently looking at a set of 18" mb "emotion" wheels...

i'll probably pick em up this weekend... but has anyone acutally some pictures of these wheels mounted on a w203 ?

the wheels are intended to be my winter wheels but still ... i want to make the car look at least a bit nicer than the standard 5 spoke avantgarde's

and maybe, does anyone have an idea about the ET on these wheels ? fronts are 8.5 wide, rears are 9.5 ...

this weekend they are expecting snow again ...

I have 17" stock summer wheels and use 16" for winter: cheaper snow tires, narrower tire is better in snow, and the taller profile handles the potholes better! Our roads $uck, especially in winter!

normally i drive 18" amg's for summer and 16" avantgardes in the winter... with 225 in the back, snow/winter tire's. but i don't mind about getting the tire's cheap, i work at a MB-workshop, so i get my tire's with a nice discount

well our roads here also suck ... but this year was an exceptionnal strong winter, had some heavy snow and the citie's had a shortage of salt for the roads so ...

and also, the price he is asking for the wheels & tire's is a steal

also,

im search of a set of summer wheels ...

and found these for sale:

OZ galileo

size's :

8jx19 et42 in front

9,5jx19 et35 in rear

only thing that bothers me a bit is that the spokes are pretty wide and make the stock brake's look even smaller ?

grtz

would these fit easily ? I think front will be a problem and need spacers ?

those front's not gonna fit. unless you run a 10-12mm spacer, but I also have a feeling that's a typo of false offset info on those rims.
