Your car looks great! I can't wait till I get my wheels!
Are the bolts for the rear suppose to be longer or shorter?

I had issues with the bolts being too long.. They had to file them down to make them shorter.... Depending on your wheels you will need shorter bolts in the back.

I WANNA SEE THE GROUP BUY WHEELS ON THE CARS!!!!

What size did you have to go with. What was the actual size.

You need 12x1.5 bolts I think... This is for the TSW Bremma wheels I had before. The bolts I currently have where cut shorter to fit.

Need some opinions on wheels

Hi, I'm ready to buy some wheels and decided on these:

http://need4speedmotors.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=238

Now, I really don't know which color to get. They come in chrome and Hyper Black. The customer rep says that the hyper black will look smaller due to color but I'm not too fond of chrome either. At the same time I don't want my wheels to look smaller than it's actual size. My car is a C230 coupe and it's silver. Please help. By the way I'm getting 18in wheels in staggered fitment. Thanks guys!

first off, what color is your car? if it is a darker color then go with chrome.

Silver car...hmmm...I'd go with a titanium or gunmetal type color. I'm not a big chrome fan, but the design of the rims are nice looking. I'm assuming 1 piece rims for that price, right?

Either way, if you're set on getting these, I would go with hyper black or gunmetal/titanium (if they can do it).

The wheels are 1 piece and they only come in chrome or Hyper black. The price was actually lower than stated on their website. They wanted 749.00 for a staggered set of 18in hyper black and 799.00 for chrome. I don't think it's bad at all. Thanks for your opinion.

Yeah, I figured they were one piece, but it is definitely a good price. In that case, if you only have a choice between the two, I'd go with hyper black (if you are set on getting these).

Ruff racing wheels

I was looking to get the Ruff Racing 278 in 18x8.5. I read something about how these rims may need hubcentric rings. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to confirm that. I know I saw a member having those exact rims but I forgot his user name.

thanks

i posted similar query last year (search) on another forum and got information
clearly indicating hubcentric requirement so as nice as the Ruff looked, I
bagged the idea.

Yes they do. They should be included with the rims when you purchase, that's if the dealer is familiar with the fitment requirements. I got the hubcentric rings when I made wheel purchases for both my Volvo and C320. BTW, I am running Ruff 279 in staggered 18's on the C320.

I have been very happy with them, but now am looking to move up to 19's, so these may be FS soon.

Good luck!!!

uhm i seriously hope you dropped out of the group buy (didnt want to check the last 5 pages) because 245 will not be enough for a 9.5 wheel (right?)

or am i reading your post wrong?

245 is the minimum you can use on the 9.5 you'll just have the stretched sidewall and no protection for the lip and the ride will be stiffer because the sidewall has to be stretched

not if you want that streched tire look. Some people like those look to make the wheels look bigger. I personally recommand 265/30/19 or 255/30/19 for the rear AND 235/35/19 for the front

265/30 is a more popular size. you will find more tires at that size and so it'd be much cheaper.

check tirerack guys... they do have the best prices for all the tires they carry.

I didnt know that a 245 tire could be stretched that much.

i would love to take 265 but no one really could give me the information if it would rub with 3 normal adults in the back (and no shaving)

I personally recommand 265/30/19 or 255/30/19 for the rear AND 235/35/19 for the front
the goodyears are 255/35/19 ... are 35's good too? other than that the speed would be a little more, but then again i'd get more mileage. - could those 5mm play a big role in coming closer to the top of the fender and causing rubbing?

and razor, clean ur pm box please
