2003 C230 KOMPRESSOR SEDAN
enigne stall at high rpm
Hi eveybody, I have a question. I have 2003 mercedes C230 kompressor sedan. I am getting an error for first cylinder misfire and manifold absolute pressure/barometric pressure circuit high input. Is it necessary to replace the ignition coil or what should i do from here? I just replace all 4 spark plugs, new air filter, 2 new O2 sensors, the up and down stream and a new mass air flow meter.
Thanks in advance for any advices.

yes, the $12 hose was changed by the dealer about a year ago. I looked at the cam sensors and thery were fine and not much oil mark on them. I just bought another hose ($15, the price's gone up). I try to change the hose and the fuel filter again this weekend. I hope the problem would go away.

What RPM is this happening at? You say "enigne stall at high rpm" are you hitting the rev limiter?

The 2003 C230K had a minor problem with the head design. Replace with new design heads fixes the problem. It mostly manifests itself as a misfire in a cylinder that won't go away and it's due to excessive carbon buildup on the valves. Figure $1,500 for a new head and about 12 hours labor.

But...it had to be more than like 20 misfires out of 600 to throw the code, so
I've also had the experience of getting misfires and NOT getting a code, usually at the onset of a coil pack failure, which quickly gets worse.
