Sorry for the quality, it was taken with my phone. It's a 12 incher and the enclosure is fiberglass.
Nice

That's a good spot to install your sub, but where did you install your AMP?

nicely done. who did the 'glass work?
I saw this guy selling custom boxes on craigslist so i called him up and went over to his place. He made it while i watched and guided me through the process so that i could building something myself later on. I don't know if i want to thought, the stuff is too messy.

That's neat !! Does it have protection? I'd hate to stick a putter through the cone
Thanks guys. Nope, no protection but i'd put the putter in the golf bag first. I don't think it would penetrate that easily though, it seems pretty tought but i won't take any chances.

It's on the opposite side, directly across from the fusebox.

Ohh NICE! You really still have your trunk and a good system too

I'm installing a sub/AMP next weekend, so that I can enjoy my new Alpine 505 HU even more and still thinking what to get and where to install them

I might buy myself a powered subwoofer IDK

I'll see how much my shop will quote me for custom box like yours..

now everybody don't get mad at me, because I'm just giving my opinion (as biased as it is)...

Ryan, have you thought about putting one of those black grill guards on that woofer to protect it against anything that might fly loose in the trunk ?

Thanks. I usually don't have much of anything in the trunk but getting a grille for safety doesn't sound like too bad of an idea. I just think it looks better without one on.

Sorry for not specifying more, that is when I got done building the enclosure. Just a test fit, I just bondod the whole thing and power sanded it. Its getting painted metallic black, and I custom fabricated brackets for the amp so it looks like its floating. Like I said I will post pics when its complete.

Also it may look clean but its not tuned and is just simply an enclosure, my enclosure is 5.5 cuft tuned to 34hz. Not ragging on his enclosure because it looks great just saying that it could sound much better in a (ghetto) box.

It's cool. It all depends on what you're looking to get out of it. Mine would hit a lot harder if I put it in another box, an actual box that is.

Yea forsure, you have the best of both worlds because im sure it still sounds pretty good. Whatever floats your boat, I like loud and obnoxious stereo's, with good SQ. If I was entering a car show id defenantly go the route you went, but not many people look in my trunk so it doesnt bother me much.

I doubt it! - anything in a box has "obnoxious" resonance - thats why I own panel/planar speakers (Magneplanar) - but as you say -"whatever floats your boat"
