Why use MB Fleece filter!

what kind (brand) of oil filter is (or should I say: was) that ?
did you school the owner of this car ?
The aftermarket filter may be every bit as good as the MB oil filter; but you never know for sure. If the MB filter ever fails and causes engine damage, you have a valid warranty claim. If the aftermarket filter fails; well, you don't know. I am not willing to risk my engine.

Motioneffects, could you please tell us what brand filter that was?
I've used the MB ones, Hengst, and Mann.
All are paper and look about the same.
Currently I've got 2 Mann filters 'in stock'.
Using 1 today.
Here's the K&N filter for my car

Looks the same.
Should I be worried?
What shop do you work for....or if you can't say, how about what city or state?
Thanks!

I come across these filters around 5-6 times a year that are that bad. As for the benz oil filter(Mann), Nothing beats it! I wouldnt recommend using anything else other than MB Fleece Filter. I had one car that didnt get an oil change for 25k
and the oil filter is fine. Needless to say the motor was sludge up and we did 2 oil change+ oil level sensor for free.
I think she still gave us a bad CSI because the vehicle was not ready when she came to pick it up. Sorry, I rather not say were Im employed since people at my work do go on here too.
"MANN FILTER MADE IN GERMANY"
So I used it. Just open the box there and look.
"MANN FILTER MADE IN GERMANY"
Thanks !!

For heavens sake people. Use the genuine Mann + Hummel filter. That mess could cost an engine!!!
