Thank god nothing happened to my tire.

I once ran over a tire and ruined my bumper. I was told it was due to hard braking. When you hard brake your car does a nose dive.
dude! I can't help you this weekend but if you can wait a week I'll be willing to give you a hand and show you how I did mine

I Havent posted up in my thread in awhile. Thought id put this up, even though its not good.... my driver side fog light went out awhile ago, then my passenger side fog light went out shortly after. I thought it was just the bulb, I went down to VIP Status to have some new bulbs installed, when they tested it and found out the Ballasts are bad and not the bulbs. These are ddm HID kits which are supposed to be pretty good, dont know why they went bad in less than a year. They have a lifetime warranty, so ill hopefully ill get a full replacement.

gonna be sending these back soon. what a waste of time and money this is.

to add to that BS, last week when i was driving, at arund 60mph i started to feel vibration, not in the steering wheel but in the car itself. I didnt think it was the alignment, cuz it didnt feel like that kinda vibration, i thought i either might have bent a rim or got a bubble in the tire again!

wtf is this bs?! do i just have bad luck with tires or what?? yeah i was running for a little bit with low tire pressure, but not that low. And i know im not the only one who drives these f'd up LA streets.. wtf!!! that bubble is about 1/4 of the tire...

Damn, this is the 2nd tire or 3rd? What brand are you using? You think it might be the rim? Has it always been that one side?

yeah, theres really nothing i can do except get a new tire. Ive been looking for a used Toyo t1r 275/30/19 but havent been able to find one. what sucks is i just bought this set not too long ago, so i dont really want to have to buy new tires again. But i am having no luck finding a matching single tire.

I called a few places for some cheap pairs and a couple places told me about Diamondback tires. Ive never heard of them, have any of you guys? anyone have any reviews. I cant find too much online.

Anyone have any used tires for sale in good condition?? looking for either a pair of 265/30/19 or 275's

Karo, this is the 3rd tire it happened to. the 1st were both my fronts when i had Falken452's 225/35... got your pm, ill post up about sat...

Look at Kirax2's thread. I think he got Diamondback tires for crazy cheap for his coupe. However, I wouldn't go with it.

Have you checked eBay for the tires?

agreed...i wouldn't drive around with a bubble that big. The chance of the tire blowing out is pretty high with a bubble that big. I would at least get some hankook evo12's. I believe its $150 tire new. Stick with the name brands. You don't want to put your turning, stopping and accerlation ability on unproven tires.

Hey Patrick Lowkey has Diamondbacks. He was telling me they were pretty good.

Hey but since this is a reoccuring problem do you think it might be from the rim? Something with the inner wall?

I mean same thing happening to 3 tires, is it coincidence? or is there something wrong with the rim?

I have hit huge potholes and always drive everyday through the crap streets of LA and knock on wood I have never had them bubble.

I have been, i really dont want to, but its my only way of getting to work and back. Luckily theres normally traffic and i dont get over 55, most of the time im under 40. fingers crossed it has to last me until tomorrow, i get out at 12, then straight to get some tires.. Ill check out the Hankook, thats a pretty decent price.

I really have no idea what it can be. im guessing with this tire, it was cuz i ran low on air for awhile. I didnt think it was that bad, was just lazy to put air in it.. with the first 2, no clue.... Not sure about the wheel or how it could do it, but its a possibility...

usually bubbles form from a manufacturing defect from the manufacturer or driving over pot holes at high speeds.

here's a place there sell the hankooks for pretty cheap. there in fullerton, you can probably call them and see if you can just pick up the tire.

Don't drive with that bubble and do not get Diamondback.
Yokohama S-Drive's are not bad and the cost for a pair is probably equivalent to one T1R.

I might have some used Continental sport contact 2's lined up for now.

so i would just need to drive on this bubbled tire about 40 more miles. 26 to work, and about 15 to tire shop

I'll also look into all the tires mentioned above and thanks for the info guys, i appreciate it.

Thanks for the help and info with tires fellas...

bought a pair over the holiday, Unfortunately lots of the places were closed on Fri. & Sat. I wanted to get those Hankook evo12's but the place was closed and i couldn't be driving around with a big *** bubble so decided to go with a cheaper tire. I have heard good reviews of it on this board and from a few shops. I picked up a pair of the Nexen 3000's 265/30/19 over at HMS. Ive put a little over 100 miles on them since Fri. so far they've been smooth and quiet...

just watch it carefully. Mugenx had nexen 3000's in his car and he got a huge bubble on the sidewall. I think he got it replaced at the shop he took it too.

LOL, *******s! You should be fine Roland. It was just one tire that had a bubble, but so far so good, and I've been using Nexens for a while now.

onto the next problem...

I swear LA drivers suck! Last Monday, the day it started raining, i was driving down Santa Monica Blvd. back to work during lunch. The car in front of me slowed to a stop to make a right, while a pedestrian was crossing. The BMW 5 series driving behind me did not stop in time and rear ended me. Not the most serious of accidents but still wtf!

Ive talked to both insurance companies and im pretty sure everything will be covered, but what a pain in the ***...
