Hi Guys,

Finally bought a 2002 C230 Coupe, White W/Oyster Leather, C-5 Package, 56,000 Miles.
$8500.
Has Pogo Stick Door Lock on drivers side and InOp Sunroof.

Have a lot of things that i want to do to it, but sure is a fun car to drive!
Thanks in advance for all the help i will be getting here.
Great forum!

Thanks,
Dave

welcome, and you need to hit up my boy Advans on the forum for some parts for that car. He parted out his coupe. Time to buy parts for cheap

Sunroof is an easy fix, yet first thing first:

Check your cam sensors for the isolation wire. This is by far the worse fault on that engine, and can be fixed for $40 and a few mins of your time. Consequences are your ECU fills up with oil and is ruined.

A buddy of mine went through 6 O2 sensors under warranty on his 2002 C230 before we found the problem posted online.

Thanks Guys,

Can you direct me to the thread about the isolation wire and the guy that is parting out the coupe?

Going to go with clear front markers and not sure on the tails yet, may smoke them.

Some really good information here on this forum.
Seems like you need this forum or a really good extended warranty.

glad you like it, welcome to the family.
I had a complete face lift done on my 02 coupe.
I changed to Bi-Xenon, 05 blinkers, tails, clear fog lamps and the sport grill.
people can't tell mine is 02.
have fun.

Does anyone know about the part number or where and how to do this Isolation Wire?
Have been reading on here about the Cam Sensor leaking and don't want to go through that.

Thanks,
Dave
