Parking brake lamp does not go out..
I drive an '03 C230K and occasionally, the parking brake lamp on the cluster does not go out when parking brake is released. I have to pull the release lever several times before it goes away.
Any similar issues? thanks

The micro switch is sticking. Let me try & find a diagram for you. Needs a spray with switch cleaner.

Parking Brake Switch Diagram
Here we go - See S12 in top LH corner diagram - clean & adjust this switch - also check to make sure cable is being released properly to rear.

Glyn, thanks for your response .. this is new to me, but where is it exactly the diagram you sent me located in the car? Is this something I can do or have a mechanic do it? thanks again. Paul

Paul -no problem - the mechanism in the diagram I sent you is directly above the foot operated parking brake pedal on the LHS of the drivers foot well - easy to do yourself. See pedal in diagram. Just look up under the dashboard on the LHS above the foot operated parking brake. - Ignore pic on RHS of diagram - that is under the back seat where the cable splits to the two rear wheels.
