I drive an '03 C230K and occasionally, the parking brake lamp on the cluster does not go out when parking brake is released. I have to pull the release lever several times before it goes away. Any similar issues? thanks

The micro switch is sticking. Let me try & find a diagram for you. Needs a spray with switch cleaner.

Here we go - See S12 in top LH corner diagram - clean & adjust this switch - also check to make sure cable is being released properly to rear.

Paul -no problem - the mechanism in the diagram I sent you is directly above the foot operated parking brake pedal on the LHS of the drivers foot well - easy to do yourself. See pedal in diagram. Just look up under the dashboard on the LHS above the foot operated parking brake. - Ignore pic on RHS of diagram - that is under the back seat where the cable splits to the two rear wheels.
