Sway bar for C32 to C320

Does the sway bar for the C32 fit the C320? I heard that it fits but want to make sure. Also, does anyone know the part numbers?

Yes, they will fit. There are more than just the two part numbers for the bars, you have to buy the bushings, brackets, nuts, screws...etc

Like Harris said, they will fit, but require different bushings, etc...

What they will not do is eliminate body roll

Please correct if I'm wrong. But wasn't there a thread that showed how to do it? That showed that parts can be reused and that therefore you didn't need to buy all of the parts?

Please educate me here or thru PM. I will grant you that sways alone cannot do the complete job. By why then is it that they are thicker in diameter? What purpose will it serve to make them thicker if there is no appearent benefit?

On a C320 the C32 swaybars will fit and will help roll. But what Mach430 is saying is, be aware that the C32 design is slightly "benign" in that the C320 with C32 bars will still have more roll than say even a stock E36 M3. Several C32 owners have been less than fully satisfied with the C32 stock bars. If you want more roll-stiffness the Evosport bars will be stiffer.

The C320 bars are (I think)
20mm F, and 13mm R

The C32 bars are
22mm F, and 16mm R

The Evo bars are
24mm F, and 19mm R

Also with the Evosport bars you can make adjustments, the C32's are non-adjustable.

Any bar you get needs the correct/corresponding bushings, to fit the bar diameter, but the rest of the hardware should be OK. I have the Evosport bars on my C32 and they are a big improvement over the C32 bars in regards to body roll. Coming from a C320, it depends on what you want/expect. For you it is possible the C32 bars will be a big enough improvement. For me, I couldn't wait to replace them.

The installation is easy.

The front is the same, although I believe theirs are only 2 way adjustable in front, and non adjustable in the rear (correct me if I'm wrong). Some owners of the Eibach bars have mentioned their rear skipping when cornering, as their rear bar is thicker/stiffer than ours.

Neither bar is designed to oversteer, but when a bar becomes too thick (not in relationship to the other bar, but to the car), it may cause the tires to break loose during some turning.
