anyone Straight-Piped their benz?
You get less HP (no backpressure!!) , your car sounds horrible inside and out, gives you a headache, you break emissions laws, sound laws, and worse of all sound like a rice-mobile. What exactly is the benefit?!
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I can understand getting an aftermarket muffler to add a little sound, but I hate it when people go overboard and the car sounds like crap.

, he must have deleted the resonator or a cat to get a louder noise. Yeah +1 on straight piping just to get noise out of it being unnecessary, not unless there are more mods you are considering on doing to your engine.

hmmmm let me think...............................NO. NO. NO.
plus i told you already. Dinan is a famous BMW tuner like Brabus is for mercedes. So, YES i do believe them. if Brabus wrote that article i would STILL believe them because they develop those mufflers and do the research and tests. they found out that:
1.make a less restrictive exhaust
2.increase airflow and decrease backpressure
3.increase HP power output and the drawback of torque

Do you even know how horsepower is calculated?
horsepower = rpm x torque / 5252
He can't increase horsepower if you lower torque unless you increase your rev's.
Also if you want to relieve back pressure so much why not just run open header? That costs you nothing.
Do you know when you increase your exhaust size you lose air velocity. Lost of air velocity causes a lost in low end torque in NA cars.
Turbo cars have too much backpressure due to the exhaust running the turbo..hence why they benefit from larger exhausts. NA cars benefit from larger exhausts to a certain point, then they start losing power from the lost of velocity.
I really doubt your 63. You should go back to reading motor trend and come back when you turn 14.

If your so adamant about your claims you read in your article, then can you post the before and after Dynos to prove your point?
