Hey Fellas...

Ive been on the phone w/ Tein USA and they were looking for a c320 sedan to test an updated set of Tein Basics on...

They are kinda in a rush to get a c320 sedan in to test the updated coil overs on, so they are offering test vehicles a free set of s-techs.

I dunno what the test vehicle will have to go through, except the installation + use of the basics, but I dont imagine much more. Its mostly to test clearances under load on a real vehicle.

They take your car, test some stuff + you get a free set of Tein S techs (progressive lowering springs). I think if ya talk to them, they might even do a free install on the springs also.

Didn't a senior member here (wasn't it Drexappeal or FrankW) that was the original guinea pig/tester for Tein with their C320?

Yea... Quite the storm. Im stuck at home cuz driving is terrifying... its one big sheet of ice out there.... and the roads are littered w/ chains that have come off of people's cars... scary stuff.

Drex's car was the test bed for the w203 Tein Coilovers, but Drex has a c230k.

O' that's right, it was the coilovers for the c230. Yea, i haven't had my wagon out in two weeks. The ice/snow has melted and refroze so many times down here it's like driving on the moon. Ice bumps/ craters everyhwere. It's even beating the crap out of my borrowed Jeep. Anyway, hang in there and I hope someone in California jumps on the Tien test opportunity.

im hatin the damn weather we got here too. we're supposed to get another 2"-4" inches tomorrow. luckily i have my truck to drive around while my MB stays in the garage. i hate the damn grooves in the road and the damn manholes that are makin craters...lol!

btw....glocati...i somehow lost the info on your mechanic that installed your c/o's or was it on a different forum that you pm'd me?

Dont ask me. I just want them to get a C320 to test their updated COs. I believe its just for measurements w/ clearances...

but then u'll most likely need new alignment after they are done with your car.
Don't see value here, unless the guy wants to install the s-tech springs.

You're gonna need a new alignment regardless of any changes you make to your springs/struts. Free stuff is free stuff.

Thanks Moose! Tint is definitely on this list. MbenzNL has an AMG front for sale. I would love to swing that deal Anyhow, I don't want to further hi-jack John's thread, so once i get a few more items handled, i am going to start a wagon thread.
