Sprint Booster Scientific Review !
The white paper was also on a manual transmission car, so i dont know if it make sense on a manual car.
I was sceptical in the first time, but i ordered it to try it. And now i love it.
A good ECU tuner can also do the same like Glyn M Ruck said, but here in The Netherlands they ask € 700,00 for it.
I wrote this on another board couple of months ago:
Believe me, if it didn't work, i don't be so positive about it.
For example, my father always go to busines relations on wednesday with MY car. Today when he came back, the first thing he said. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR CAR??? He said that it reacts MUCH more on the gas and on the acceleration on the highway driving 60 mph, the downshift comes faster/earlier than before the sprintbooster.
Without knowing that i have installed the Sprintbooster, because i want to know, is it's between the ears ?, or does someone who don't know that i installed the SB, feel that there is something done on the car...
The sprint booster is a scam, not only because of its method of action, but because it is actually worth somewhere under $20 in parts. If they charged maybe $30 for it, and explained what it truly does rather than blatantly lying that it removes throttle lag, then it would atleast be a somewhat legitimate product, even though its use does not make much sense.

They do work to improve perceived throttle response – I’ve driven a friend’s car so equipped.
I put the $300 toward quantifiable performance-enhancing hardware instead without regret.

about the baby remark you do have to go through school and have years of study for that, can't just read one article and think you are an expert. They might not experience first hand but sure see it. Don't be a douche.

I dont take it personal, don't worry
LOLIts not only between the ears, my car drive's better, and believe me it isnt the same effect as put your feet down a little bit more. But my car is a C180K and there is a big lag!! In the US most cars are V6 so dont know if you talk about the same lag as i had!!
And my car isnt faster with the SB, but it drives better than without the SB.
But everybody has his own opinion about it, and if you havent tried it you cant talk about it by only reading the White Paper thing....
Buy one and you will love it.... i love it and do you know what more like???
MY KLEEMANN HEADERS+CAT. WHO HAS ARRIVED.... but thats off topic...
Everybody have a nice weekend.....

As much as I consider the SB a piece of worthless crap, I really doubt it could hurt your ECU considering the way it works.
One thing it may do though is create a huge safety issue. No one has confirmed or denied this yet that I know of. The accelerator pedal uses dual potentiometers as a fail safe. This means should one of them fail, the other one should continue to work and you would get a check engine light. Someone needs to crack the SB open and find out if it preserves these two seperate potentiometers (which would cost them more $ in parts) or if they just spliced them together. If you only have one working potentiometer and it fails open, you wont be able to drive your car. If it fails closed (lets say, while you have the pedal to the floor) then you would let go of the pedal, but the car would consider accelerating out of control until you turn the key off, which might cause engine damage.

The white paper is a much more reliable source of info than anyone's false perceptions or butt dynos. We now know exactly what this little device does, it's just interesting to see people standing behind these false claims no matter what they are presented with. Eating $300 for a <$5 op amp and a few resistors is bad enough, I guess.

At first I wanted this item for a mod but after a while i figure that an ecu tune after other mods will reduce the lag and changed my mind but some members have tunes and still have the booster on. The only why to truly find out if the said person would to try it out for themselves. Just stating that without actual use of this item and experience, it's hard to debate.
This is a discussion on whether this mod actually works or not, let's try to keep the stupid remarks to yourselves.
Gly unfortunately the US cars are tuned a little different from yours, so your car might not need it. I am not sure and maybe this area is no different in throttle response.
With all this said I think i will hold off until I am able to try this out or if there is no other mod to do.

Here is Sprintbooster's own claim - I see nothing wrong with it. It demonstates within reason findings in the white paper with exception of time taken to WOT. Would be more accurate if the horizontal axis was throttle pedal %age of maximum.

they claim that the maximum output is reached at 3/4 of full throttle while the white paper says 2/3... who cares 2/3 or 3/4 as long as its the same idea AMPLIFY AMPLIFY AMPLIFY and use some big words to confuse people THROTTLE LAG LAG LAG LAG and a relatively hight price so u think its a COOL GADGET, A GREAT ELECTRONIC UPGRADE....

I know that its not going to create a phase shift, which is supported by the manufacturer's graph as linked above and the independent testing in the paper, let alone figure out some way to send the signal output before it gets the input. Do I have to go spend $300 on an op-amp to get some credibility here?
I'm going to have to look into amplifying the brake booster output somehow (is it vacuum operated on these cars too?) and sell the gadget for hundreds of dollars. You wont believe how much better your car will stop...
