Is it me, or does there seem to be a much larger gap between the tires and the body with the C7 wheels on the sedan (than on the coupe)?

It's you.

No, you're right - it does look bigger. It could be the angle of the photos, maybe? I don't like them as much on the sedan, though.

Nice pics, keep it up intakex!

trench, you're right; there's a big gap between the tire and the fender, but that can be easily fix with a set of H&R sports spring...

is the overall tire and wheel diameter smaller then the stock wheel/tire? Or is the car higher because of the sport suspension?

The C320 sport has a much bigger gap than the 230 sport. The 230 sport sedan has a wheel gap almost equal to that of the C7 coupe. I think the 320 almost looks like a 4x4. I didn't look at all the pics, but I have seen the difference between the two in person.

After looking at the pictures, I noticed the C sedans had sculpted rocker panels as advertised. However, my local dealer has two C230 sedans which have the plain rocker panels, Does anyone know what is up?

it's probably because that rim is used on the W209 CLK320 appearance pkg. MBusa wants to differentiat different class models. that's why you'll never see different class of vehicle with the same rims (stock wise) in the US.

Just goes to show you that nothing is ever good enough. As soon as we get the new sport sedans, they aren't cool anymore. Now everyone wants something new, like this car offered in Europe. They can't please everyone. So you have to take what you can get. And that car looks nice, but I wouldn't say it is any better than the sports we get here.

Yup. That's how marketing works. As soon as you get something current, they come out with something else. Looks-wise, it's probably not any better often times, but people just get hyped into thinking it is. For me I think the front bumper of the sports package looks worse than the stock bumper. As for wheels, I'd take an aftermarket one any day. Stocks are just that, stock. Nothing too unique when everyone starts getting them.

Well, I'd say at least MB is heading to the right direction. I personally would like the AMG sports package offered as an option like what's mentioned in http://www.mercedes-benz.com and the stainless steel oval tailpipe included in the current sports model.... but that's just me.

oval tailpipe?! you mean the sports coupe, right? cuz the sedan does not have the exposed tailpipe.

Thumbs up

I like the 17 inch wheels on the US spec C class. The crossed drilled rotors and stiffer calipers would be nice though. You can never have too much brake.

Actually from that web site the sedan with sports package does come with the oval tailpipe, along with 225 front, 245 rear tires, cross drilled rotors, stainless steel pedals, and probably lowered as well (from the pics posted there). Hope one day these options will make it to the US.

Here's a look from the rear, check out the gap between the fender and the tires, and the oval tailpipe.
