How do you guy's like driving in Canadian winters?
waiting for summer now.

I'm freezing my butt here .... oh wait a minute I have the buttwarmer option

+10 C and raining here on the west coast. No snow at all so far this season. Got as cold as minus 3 under clear skies. I used to live in Calgary in the 1970s and I know it can get a wee bit chilly there (not as bad as Edmonchuk or Winterpeg though).
Drove my car to school finally today, a pain trying to find somewhere to park downtown. Ended up finding some sidestreet covered in ice where no one parked except the residents. Couldn't get back out of the spot (It was all ice under 3 wheels) for about 30 seconds! (no winter tires). Not to mention I slipped and fell when I got out of the car. Bad day.
As for cold, I noticed these things on the coldest days:
1. CD player went all crazy until it warmed up, displaying all sorts of wrong messages.
2. 6-speed goes from somewhat smooth to thick as molasses.
3. The engine growls, almost as loud as some of the older V8s I drove in the same weather.... this was very surprising.
4. These wiper blades suck in cold weather, I want new ones! actually they suck all around.
5. In auto mode on the climate control the fans take forever to startup, it seems the climate control is smart enough not to pump warm air until it has reached a certain temperature, but maybe it doesn't realise, any temp is better than -20C!
Chilly -20 in Toronto; surprisingly cold! I've got minor frost-bite on my hand last week, it still hasn't gone away!

I'm using Yokohama AVS Winters (V901) on my steelies. They've been pretty good to me so far. Only complaints is that ice traction isnt as good as I thought they'd be (but they're my first set of snow tires after all).
My C240 is garaged both at home and at school, so it's pretty okay. Actually my garage at home is colder (3C) than at school (as low as 9C)

In the mornings I let it idle for about 1 minute and drive off slowly, keeping revs below 3000rpm. And also, I try not to turn on the heat until the car is sufficiently warm (I can see the temp gauge go DOWN when the engine is still warming up while the heat is on)
The only thing I dislike is that after a snow night, the brakes are extra squeally the next morning.

I installed the block heater Tuesday. So I just start off and drive!
Because Kingston is in the "snow belt", I got Michelin Pilot Alpins on 16-inch rims. (I've also got the Evolution (C7) 17-inchers waiting in the garage to be released from captivity for the summer!!!)
With good winter tires, the C230 can be as much fun as any other car in a Cold Canadian Winter. I've driven through clear cold crisp sunny (but frickken cold!) days, through to snow squalls (i.e. mini-blizzards) and everything in between. I sometimes give the EPS a bit of a workout, but I still manage to blow past most SUVites and other such road obstacles.
I guess the bottom line is this: If you drive a quality car, you'll get a quality drive!!
To anser the thread question: I LOVE driving in Canadian winters.
