Canadians: B Service?
How much did you guys pay for B service? What's the difference between B and A and can A just substitute B? I think A and B are supposed to alternate (every 15,000kms)

A service just cost $165 + GST
Not sure what B service costs - but A service is as above.(parts ~$77, labor $88/hr.) I notice they charge $8.95/liter of Quaker synthetic 5/40 - think I'll bring my own next time!

According to our local dealer, the B service should cost about $375 max, and A would be around $250.
You should not have to pay for new wiper blades in the first year or so.
We'll find out tomorrow whether that was a good estimate, as the C 230 K goes in for the A service.

For any service can you specify what you DON'T want them to do? Like topping up the windshield washer fluid, changing wiper blades AFTER the first year (during the first year they should be free, wear and tear break-in period), ect... or will they just do it anyways and charge you an arm and a leg?
Lastly, after Service A and B, is there a C, D, ect...? more specifically, do you always have to have the servicing done by MB to not void the warrantee within the first 4 years?

I asked them not to change the Air filter at Service B. I told them that i just got a new after market air filter. The MB tech said no problem. And the Air filter MB was going to replace was credited to my invoice.

A service costs
Got the C 230 K back from TPM Victoria today; total cost was $CDN 181.88 including all taxes. Make that about $120 US. And less than the pre-purchase estimate we were given

Ok, I have 2 "A" and 1 "B" done. There is no "C" or "D" for C-Class (but there is C, D, E... up to K in new E-Class, but they are different. It actually denotes what parts needs to be replaced. It is called FSS+). Let's see how much they charge (all in C$):
Service A: 14,900km (Silver Arrows, Etobicoke)
Labor $101, oil $78 ($9.75 per litre of Mobil 1), parts $14
Total $194 + tax
Service B: 29,595km (Meray Motors, Oakville)
Labor $249, oil $64, parts $41
Total: $354 + tax
Service A: 48,476km (MB Mississauga)
Labor: $86, parts $17, I bring my own Mobil 1 ($49 for 8 litres from Can Tire).
Total: $152 + tax
MB Mississauga has the best deal.

For E-Class, A, B, C does not denote service scope in sequence. Rather, it denotes what parts needs to be replaced / what service needs to be done. So it doesn't have to go in sequence.
