2006 C280 W203 Sirius Tuner Location

Hello all,

I am new to the forum but not new to the site. I purchased an 2006 C280 and this past weekend I just installed an Avic-D3, DVD Headrests in both front seats, backup camera, new sirius tuner and Pioneer HD radio kit.

I need to remove the OEM sirius and would like to sell it. I have been searching the forums and found the location of a few other vehicles but not mine. I had heard rear passenger tail light in trunch, behind glove box and under driver seat from multiple people on the forum when I sent PMs or read their responses.

I checked under the seat but there was nothing there beside the electrical controls for the seat.

So I am making my first post in hopes of getting some help. I appreciate whatever help I get from you guys. In the last month I learned about taking the headrests out, how to remove the deck and how to do the DIY install of new air filter, all of which im gratefull for. Now if I can just get this tuner uninstalled and my steering wheel controls hooked up I would be great!

If anyones knows the location I would greatly appreciate the help. I am also going to sell the stock deck, I had the Harmon Kardon system installed from factory, and the sirius tuner which was just activated for a full year, already paid, so if you guys have any ideas on what I should be looking to charge that would be great.

If you guys are interested in pics of the car and deck install I would be happy to post them.

Thanks everyone!

Hey Shawn, welcome. the sirius sat tuner was an option and the actual module is in the right (passeneger side -US) rear of your trunk. behind the wheel well arch on the side. pull the panel, and you should see it if you have it. Looks like this:

As an FYI...used sat units sell in the $ 300- 500 range. And do post up some pics of the new ride. Sounds nice...

No prob Shawn, BTW it should be mounted in a bracket that looks like this. Also the 2005 + model years use a unit like the pic I posted. It is called a MOST style unit. The older sat modules for the 01-04 model years are stlighly different and are a D2B style. As an FYI, i sold a most style set-up with bracket and antenna for $375 and it flew out the door. I posted it in the classified section on this forum. Good luck on it. Cheers, Greg

I attached some pics. The deck is actually the F9000BT or something like that, sorry not really up on the whole thing just yet--getting there, I installed the pioneer add-on for HD radio, the steering wheel controls will get done this weekend, I added the pioneer interface for Sirius and the tuner, I added the IPOD and USB cable and routed them under the shifted into the armrest using the same wholes as the stock wiring for the phone system.

it was a learning experience!

Getting the dash and arm rest apart just needed a few small torgue drivers and a plastic wedge to make sure I didnt mark up the dash. Install was easy to me and im a computer guy. Just make sure you get the wiring harness and antenna adapter, get the one with the power cable, and your life will be allot easier.
