Yes. I think so. They should be, since you're paying so much for them!

Actually Brabus MB VI's would be in that range.. $1300+ and they aren't even forged. Heavy cast wheels.. no polished lip... two piece instead of three. So they still reign as the ripoff champion.

Terry please post pics as soon as you can, those wheels are going to be BEAUTIFUL. They are so beautiful I would be hestitant to even drive with them! Just be sure to be on pothole patrol all the time, I've almost bent my rims a couple of times (and they are only 18"!)

Prices are on HREwheels.com. As far as tires go, I chose to go with Dunlop SP9000's which run about $200/pc. I don't have the exact price of the tires yet since I'm getting them after work today. But that's the ballpark price on Tirerack's site.

HRE wheels sort of fall into the category if you have to ask the price then you can't afford them.
With information gathered from the HRE website and the sizes proffered by the owner.
HRE 540R series "base price"
19X8.5 = $1,362 per wheel
19X9.5 = $1,432 per wheel
For the brushed finish w/ clearcoat
$227.00 per wheel
The centercaps are an open question. Since they didn't appear in the picture that started this thread, I will assume that they are the "base" plastic tri-color HRE caps. Mercedes-Benz caps would add another $100 per wheel at least.
Quick math:
Fronts (1,362+227)X2=$3178
Rears ( 1,432+227)X2=$3318
Subtotal=$6,496 + shipping/handling, lug nuts and maybe caps.
50% up front and no refunds.
Remember, if you have to ask the price...do not covet HRE wheels!!!
BTW, if you have never seen the HRE 542 ( and 542R) they are twisted spoke wheels that are unique in that they are truly directional wheels. Custom made with spokes going opposite directions on opposite side of the car. Very cool and my personal favorite from HRE.
